Patrick Quinet a suivi des études en réalisation à l’Insas (1987-1991). Après avoir travaillé comme régisseur, directeur de production et surtout 1er assistant-réalisateur (notamment pour Chantal Akerman), Patrick Quinet a fondé Artémis Média en 1992, devenu Artémis Productions en 1994. Aujourd'hui, Artémis constitue un groupe orienté vers la production (Artémis Productions sa), la production exécutive et la distribution (Artebis sprl). Entre 2001 et avril 2015, Patrick Quinet a été Président de l’Union des Producteurs Francophones de Films (UPFF). A ce titre, et en étroite collaboration avec le Ministère belge des Finances, il a oeuvré à la création d’un tax shelter belge, et a participé par la suite aux différentes réformes du système, dont la plus importante est exécutoire depuis 2015. Aujourd'hui, Patrick Quinet, en tant que membre actif de l'UPFF, continue à suivre l'évolution et les enjeux du tax-shelter. En mars 2003 Patrick Quinet a créé la société de production de droit français LIAISON CINEMATOGRAPHIQUE sarl, aux côtés de Samsa Film (Luxembourg), Entre chien et loup (Belgique) et Nord-Ouest Production (France). En 2009, afin d'optimiser le financement en tax-shelter de ses productions et coproductions, Artémis prend une participation majoritaire dans Taxshelter.be. Celle-ci fait l'objet d'une recapitalisation en 2015 par le Groupe Nethys, avec la volonté de se positionner comme acteur majeur dans les levées de fonds tax-shelter, au bénéfice cette fois de l'ensemble des producteurs indépendants belges. Depuis 2010, Patrick Quinet est également créateur et co-président de l’Académie André Delvaux qui initie les Magritte du cinéma afin de contribuer à la renommée nationale et internationale des talents belges.     5 JAN 18 1 FEB 18 1 | 5 JAN 18 - 1 FEB 18 88 LOTHIAN ROAD | FILMHOUSECinema.COM CELEBRATING FORTY YEARS OF FILMS WORTH TALKING ABOUT 39 Years, 2 Months, and counting… As you’ll spot deep within this programme (and hinted at on the front cover) January 2018 sees the start of a series of films that lead up to celebrations in October marking the 40th birthday of Filmhouse as a public cinema on Lothian Road. We’ve chosen to screen a film from every year we’ve been bringing the very best cinema to the good people of Edinburgh, and while it is tremendous fun looking back through the history of what has shown here, it was quite an undertaking going through all the old programmes and choosing what to show, and a bit of a personal journey for me as one who started coming here as a customer in the mid-80s (I know, I must have started very young...). At that time, I’d no idea that Filmhouse had only been in existence for less than 10 years – it seemed like such an established, essential institution and impossible to imagine it not existing in a city such as Edinburgh. My only hope is that the cinema is as important today as I felt it was then, and that the giants on whose shoulders we currently stand feel we’re worthy of their legacy. I hope you can join us for at least some of the screenings on this trip down memory lane... And now, back to the now.

Si el siglo XIX fue el siglo de las esperanzas el XX ha sido el de los desengaños. Las creencias má s firmes y má s sólidas se han hundido en su propia rigidez. Por otra parte la serie interminable de crisis económica, polí tica y social de nuestra civilización parece no tener fin. Ante tanta decepción sólo dos principios han permanecido inalterables: el amor y la muerte. Eros y Tá natos, los polos opuestos de un mundo cada vez má s neurótico y vací o. De Tánatos tenemos sobrados ejemplos a cada cual má s siniestro: odio, intolerancia, guerras civiles, nacionalismo exacerbado, xenofobia, racismo, conservadurismo a ultranza, intransigencia, fanatismo… El Sé ptimo Arte ha captado esa evolución social con unas pelí culas cada vez má s violentas, con espectaculares efectos especiales que no nos dejan perder detalle de los aspectos má s sombrí os de nuestro entorno.

    Jaarverslag 2019 Dit verslag biedt een analyse van de acties die screen.brussels fund vzw heeft ondernomen om zijn doelstellingen te verwezenlijken. Het bestaat uit vijf grote hoofdstukken: 1. Herhaling van de doelstellingen en taken van screen.brussels fund 2. Balans van de investeringen in de producties 3. Balans van de uitgevoerde acties 4. Boekhoudkundige balans 2019 Dit jaar staat meer bepaald in het teken van de consolidatie van de databases met professionals uit de audiovisuele sector en van de lancering van een platform om de aanvragen voor fondsen elektronisch te kunnen indienen. Dit jaar kenmerkt zich ook door de betaling van de subsidies in vele schijven (verkiezingsjaar). 1 screen.brussels fund vzw – Balans jaar 2019 1. Herhaling van de doelstellingen en taken 1.1. Context Op 2 mei 2016 lanceerde het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest zijn nieuwe strategie die moest zorgen voor een betere toegankelijkheid van het Brusselse audiovisuele aanbod voor alle Brusselse, Belgische en internationale betrokkenen. Deze strategie werd met name concreet door de oprichting van het overkoepelende merk screen.brussels.
