What is the difference between YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium?

YouTube Premium is a subscription service that includes ad-free access to all of YouTube and YouTube Music. YouTube Music Premium enables you to access YouTube’s music streaming service, ad-free.

Who is eligible?

All Chromebooks that are activated before January 16, 2022 are eligible. To be eligible for the YouTube Premium offer you cannot have trialled YouTube Premium (formerly YouTube Red), YouTube Music Premium, or Google Play Music before.

How long do I have to redeem the offer?

You can redeem the offer between October 15, 2020 and February 1, 2022.This enables an ad-free experience on YouTube whether users are using the service for entertainment, music, or e-learning.

Can I redeem the Chromebook offer if I have already had a trial before?

Free trials are available to first time subscribers only. If you have participated in a trial for YouTube Premium, YouTube Music Premium, YouTube Red or Google Play Music before, or had or have a membership for one of these services, you won’t be eligible.

What happens if I didn’t receive a free trial?

If you purchased a Chromebook, are a first time subscriber, and did not receive a free trial, please contact customer support directly.

What happens after 3 months?

At the end of the trial period, you will be automatically charged the individual subscription price, currently $14.99/month on a monthly recurring basis. You can cancel your trial at no charge at any time before the trial is over.
