Setting up Gmail and Google Voice for forwarding to a Virtual Assistant
First of all, you will obviously need a Google Account to set-up Gmail and Google Voice. If you have not set this up, there are tons of tutorials on Youtube and Google that show how to do both of these. Setup will need to be done in the two steps below: Setting up Google Voice and then setting up Gmail.
Setup Google Voice First go into your Google Voice account to set up your voicemail so that it sends all the voicemails and transcripts to your Gmail account.
1. Go to Settings then click on the Voicemail & Text tab 2. Check the Email notifications to: under Voicemail Notifications 3. Select the correct Gmail address which should be your own. 4. Also make sure the Transcribe Voicemails is checked. You can also check Allo auto ated Google s ste s to a al ze ou oi e ail essages to help i p o e t a s iptio ualit 5. Click Save Changes at the bottom.
6. Send yourself a test voice message by calling your Google Voice number to make sure voicemail is forwarding to your Gmail account.

Setup Gmail to Forward Voicemails
Next you will need to set up your Gmail account so that Voicemails are also forwarding to your Virtual Assista t’s e ail. 1. Log into your Gmail online using your browser. 2. Go into Settings (top right corner of the page)
3. Ne t ou eed to add ou Vi tual Assista t’s e ail as a e ail ou a fo a d to. Go to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab and add your Virtual Assista t’s e ail as a fo a di g add ess. I also would ake su e keep op i the I o is selected. Save this a the bottom. Then go back and check Disable Forwarding and save changes at the bottom again.
4. Next go back to your Inbox. Find a Voicemail that has been sent to your Inbox in Gmail. It should simply say Google Voice. Click on that Voicemail.

5. The go to the More button and select Filter messages like these. Next go to the link at the bottom right Create filter with this search.
6. On the next screen check Forward it to a d sele t ou i tual assista t’s e ail add ess f o the dropdown. It should already be in there since we did that in step 3. 7. Next I would suggest you create a label by checking Apply the label. You can pick whatever la el ou ish o eate a e o e like oi e ail to ake it easie to ui kl go to oi e ails you need to check. Then click Create Filter
Now you should be all set! I would test this of course to make sure everything is working seamlessly with your virtual assistant.
