Fourth meeting of the Forum of the Countries of and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development

This event, convened by ECLAC and the United Nations Global Compact, will focus on strengthening the role of the private sector in Latin America and the Caribbean in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. At this fourth edition of the event, in the context of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, discussions will address the main challenges and opportunities for promoting a green, digital and inclusive recovery in the region through renewed public-private cooperation. The dialogue will focus on key sectors that can catalyse the green transition and a sustainable recovery, with quality employment, greater social and digital inclusion, and technological innovation. The forum will also address how to foster policies and strategies to lay the foundations for low-carbon growth, in keeping with the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement.
