Some of the more unimportant tribes are Yuchi, Catawba, Caddo, Tunica, Guale, Natchez, Apalachee, Calusa, Timucua, and Chitimacha. There are many more too. During summer time it rains constantly. The southeast stretches from east Texas to the Atlantic ocean. There are mild winters and warm summers. Things like corn, beans, squash, and pumpkins all grow in the south east. The Native Americans used the warm weather to build clay houses. The Southeast includes of coastal plains, rolling hills, and a part of the Appalachian mountains. Environmental Uses The Southeastern native americans used the environment to their advantages. The people used deer for food, as well as clothing and tools.
