We offer training in a number of maral arts styles. Our two most popular are:

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a maral art, , and a self-defense system that focuses on and especially ground fighng. Brazilian jiu-jitsu was formed from Kodokan grappling fundamentals that were taught to (1902-1994) by (1878-1941) a student of polymath and Judo founder Dr. Jigoro Kano (1860-1938). Our school is affiliated with Jr. the grandson of Carlos Gracie.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using proper technique, leverage, and most notably, taking the fight to the ground. Jiu-Jitsu training can be used for sport or self-defense. (commonly referred to as "rolling") and live drilling play a major role in training. There is no striking or hing in Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu – praconers win a match when one party gives up or through points which are awarded for controlling an opponent without injury.

Taekwondo Currently the most popular maral art in Korea, it also ranks among America's and the world's most popular maral arts. While famous for its wide range of , also emphasizes breaking power, such as spling wood and bricks using only the bare hands and feet. Training involves a variety of techniques, to include punching, kicking, dodging, jumping, parrying and blocking. Taekwondo also focuses on sparring and learning formal paerns of movement called forms.

The style of Taekwondo supported by the ATA is known as Songahm Taekwondo, a style specifically developed over 20 years' me by Eternal Grand Master H.U. Lee to make it accessible to anyone willing to learn, and to truly reflect Taekwondo and the strength and beauty of its kicking techniques. The word Taekwondo itself is made up of three Chinese/Korean words: Tae, meaning to or jump; Kwon, meaning fist or hand; and Do, which means "the way."
