...In September of 1941 Kiev, , was occupied by German SS troops. All were ordered to gather on the streets with all their belongings…People thought they are going to be relocated…During the next two days SS troops supported by other German units and local collaborators murdered 33,771 Jewish civilians at the Babi Yar ravine… It was the beginning of Hitler’s plan to totally destroy Jewish ethnicity on the USSR terri- tory.  Opening Ceremony - Faina Kravchenko, Editor of Russian Newspaper “REKLAMA” and Maya Gumirov, Coordinator of Family Strengthening Project, Jewish Child and Family Services open Commemoration.  In Memoriam of Victims – Presentation of the Album “Drobitsky Yar “– Faina Kravchenko, Editor of Russian Newspaper “REKLAMA” .  “They will never grow up” in Memoriam of Children perished in the Holocaust – Yakov Zakon, “Evidence of Holocaust” Group Leader and Benjamin Cohen, author of “Will I ever see another butterfly?” The signed copies of the book as well as Holocaust albums will be available for purchase.  To remember - Rabbi Aaron Braun, Northbrook Community Synagogue .  Minute of Silence  “Kadish” - Dramatic poetry and music - Sergey Mezhericher with ORT Institute Sunday School.
