Lobito – Benguela via Porto Amboim, Cachoeiras e Sumbe.

Includes – transport by road from Luanda to Benguela in 4x4 “XXL” and tours with English / Portuguese speaking driver guides. Accommodation (2 sharing) and meals as indicated, all park fees and tolls.
Day 1 – Luanda to Lobito via Porto Amboim, Cachoeiras do Binga Falls & Sumbe.
Leaving Luanda early we travel down the coast road. We will stop off at Miradouro da Lua for a quick coffee break and then cross the Kwanza River and pass though Kissama Park. Travelling down the coast road we cross the Rio Longa river (forming the southern border of Kissama) and enter Kwanza Sul province. We take lunch – either in Porto Amboim or as a picnic at Cachoeira falls or Sumbe (depending on weather conditions, timings and restaurant availability)… Appreciating the spectacular scenery of Kwanza Sul, we take a small worthwhile diversion to visit the pretty waterfalls at “Cachoeiras do Binga” on the Keve River. We will then continue to Lobito where we will arrive late afternoon. We will check into our hotel and have a deserved dinner.

Day 2 – Lobito, Benguela, Praia Cahotinha, Baia Azul,
After breakfast, we will make a quick tour of Lobito and transfer through Catumbela to Benguela (renowned for its wide avenues and architecture). We arrive at the Catumbela River, and if conditions allow will follow the pretty river to the weir (“açude”). We will then move further south to Benguela city itself. We will then have lunch and travel to the famous southern beaches of Cahotinha and Baia Azul. After lunch we will travel back to Lobito for a walk around the legendary Terminus Hotel area of Benguela rail Road fame and the Restinga to appreciate the sunset (time allowing !). We will have dinner at our hotel or a reputable restaurant on the Restinga.

Day 3 – Lobito, Restinga and return to Luanda
After breakfast, there will be a little free time to stroll along the Restinga, or even a swim We will then leave to return to Luanda via Sumbe, Porto Amboim were we will stop for lunch.
