Royal University Hospital Foundation’s Luke & Celebrity Golf Classic 2014 raises $150,000 for Royal University Hospital Emergency Department priorities

With the help of our hometown NHL stars, Luke and Brayden Schenn of the , over a dozen of their NHL and international hockey star friends, sponsors, volunteers and golfers, Royal University Hospital Foundation’s 9th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic raised $150,000 after expenses in support of the Royal University Hospital Emergency Department.

“This year over 55,000 adults and children will arrive at RUH, the critical care and trauma Hospital for and northern and central ,” says Arla Gustafson, CEO, of RUH Foundation. “Having the right equipment in place at the right time is critical for our physicians and emergency medical teams. We will be supporting the newest generation of technology for fast tracking specimen testing and much needed equipment for emergency and trauma patients.”

The tournament teed off on June 25 with a Community Autograph Event hosted and held by the Presenting Sponsor FFUN Motor Group & FFUN Acura Centre of Saskatoon followed by a sponsor reception and NHL player auction. Thursday, June 26 golfers hit the links at Moon Lake Golf & Country Club.
