PROJECT SUMMARY Project No.______Division Avenue : River to Lone Oak (Eugene) Project Visual: Project Description:

See conceptual drawing below: The Division Avenue Project aims to address a concentration of crashes between River Road and where Division Avenue diverges from Randy Pape Beltline, almost many of which have been caused by turning vehicles failing to yield to oncoming .

To address documented safety challenges along this segment, the project will include:  Three roundabouts constructed from low- cost temporary materials, such as flexible delineators or jersey barriers  The reduction of travel from two in each direction to one in each direction  Marked crossings for pedestrians and cyclists

at all four legs of the three roundabout intersections  Turn diverters to ensure correct traffic circulation  from where Division Avenue diverges from Randy Pape Beltline to Lone Oak Way to slow drivers before they enter the series of roundabouts  Bike lanes that are buffered and protected with flexible delineator Project Quick Facts Location Division Avenue Project Limits River Road to Division Avenue’s Diversion from Randy Pape Beltline Length in feet 1,740 Feet Functional Class Major Collector Estimated Project Cost 5-year Crash History 59 recorded crashes occurred STBG Funds Requested $300,000 at or adjacent (2013 to 2017). 123 recorded crashes along the entire segment during this 5-year time period Bike/Ped Volumes (yr) Unknown TA Funds Requested $ N/A Traffic Volume (yr) Unknown CMAQ Funds Requested $ N/A Transit Ridership N/A Local Funding $34,340 Completion/Purchase Year 2022 Total Project Cost $ 334,340 Contact Information Sponsoring Agency of Eugene Contact Name & Title Rob Inerfeld, Transportation Planning Manager Contact e-mail [email protected] Phone 541-556-6124 For questions regarding FFY 2022-2024 CLMPO Discretionary Funds contact Daniel Callister at (541) 682-4019 or [email protected]

PROJECT SUMMARY Project No.______West Bank Path Extension: Echo to Admiral (Eugene) Project Visual: Project Description:

The West Bank segment of the Ruth Bascom Riverbank Path currently terminates at Beaver Street. The West Bank Path is an all-ages-and-abilities shared use path that connects people living in the River Road/Santa Clara neighborhoods to downtown Eugene, the University of Oregon, and the City of Springfield along the Willamette River. At Beaver Street, the shared use path ends abruptly forcing people exiting the path to walk or bicycle on narrow road shoulders along high speed . In coordination with Lane County, which is building an extension of the shared use path from Division Avenue to Hunsaker Street, the City of Eugene project would extend the path from Hunsaker Street north to Admiral Street (which connects to Madison Middle School and a currently-in-development City of Eugene community park). Typical path standards will apply including 12’ width, paving, and overhead lighting. Sidewalk will also be added to Admiral Street, and the crossings of River Loop 1 and Wilkes Drive will be improved with enhanced crosswalks.
