WUS R 99.5 FM Royal Radio, The University of Scranton’s broadcast radio station, celebrated its 10th anniversary at a party on 6 February in the Byron Complex. More than 300 students attended the event, which featured food, free T-s h i r ts and CDs, and music by several station DJs . WUS R began broadcasting on 28 February 1993, with a message from then University President J.A. Panuska, S.J. The station was originally located on the top floor of Leahy Hall. In 1995, WUS R moved to St. Thomas Hall. WUS R operates 20 hours per day, 365 days per year, and has more than 75 on-air disc jockeys.
