DAY 1 – Monday, May 25, 2020 - USA to PALERMO Your journey to Italy begins by boarding an international flight across the Atlantic to Palermo, the capital of the Italian island of Sicily. Meals and snacks will be served on the plane.
DAY 2 – Tuesday, May 26, 2020 - ARRIVE PALERMO Upon arrival in Palermo, take a guided tour of the city that will include a visit to Palazzo dei Normanni, the Royal Palace used by the Kings of Sicily during Norman domination. You will also visit the market of Ballaro, thought to be 1,000 years old and a perfect place to immerse yourself in the local culture of Palermo. Dinner and overnight in Palermo.
DAY 3 – Wednesday, May 27, 2020 - MONREALE EXCURSION Take an excursion today to Monreale that will include hearing an impromptu concert by the Millkin University Choir at the Duomo. Monreale is located on the hillside of Monte Caputo. The Duomo is regarded as the most beautiful of the Norman cathedrals in Sicily. The Byzantine mosaics, made with pure gold, are among the most magnificent in the world. Enjoy spending half of today at beautiful Mondello Beach. In the evening, attend a concert by the choir at the Church of San Cataldo or the Cathedral. Return to Palermo for dinner on your own and overnight.
DAY 4 – Thursday, May 28, 2020 - PALERMO / GIARDINI NAXOS Transfer to Giardini Naxos via a stop in Cefalu. Visit the Cathedral in Cefalu Continue to Taormina and stop to visit the Greek Theatre. Dinner on your own and overnight in Giardini Naxos.
DAY 5 – Friday, May 29, 2020 - GIARDINI NAXOS Take a full day excursion to Val di Noto and Ragusa. You’ll see the most splendorous baroque churches in the whole island, a World Heritage area in its own. This area is a must see in Sicily. Enjoy hearing the choir perform an Impromptu at the cathedral in Noto. Attend the choirs concert in Taormina tonight at Santa Caterina (or similar). Dinner and overnight Giardini Naxos.
DAY 6 – Saturday, May 30, 2020 - GIARDINI NAXOS / SALERNO Following breakfast today, you will spend the day driving to the beautiful Amalfi coast with an overnight in Salerno. The Amalfi coast is an UNESCO- listed landscape lined with small towns precariously perched between mountains and the sea. Dinner and overnight in Salerno.

DAY 7 – Sunday, May 31, 2020 - SORRENTO AREA / AMALFI DRIVE Enjoy a drive today along the Amalfi coastline. This drive traces the southern shore of Salerno Gulf, bordering the Tyrrhenian Sea in southern Italy. This popular route is famous for sweeping, panoramic sea views and the landscape lined with small towns precariously perched between mountains and the sea Amalfi drive. This evening the choir will perform at a local town on the Amalfi coast and you will attend. Dinner on your own and overnight in Salerno.
DAY 8 – Monday, June 1, 2020 - SORRENTO / POMPEII / ROME Depart the Sorrento area this morning to transfer to Rome with a stop en route in Pompeii. This Roman city is petrified and preserved by the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79. Continue to Rome for dinner and overnight.
DAY 9 – Tuesday, June 2, 2020 - ROME This morning take a sightseeing tour of Rome that will include the Vatican Museum and St. Peter’s Basilica. The Vatican Museum features an immense collection of some of the most renowned classical sculptures and masterpieces of Renaissance art in the world. St. Peter’s Basilica is characterized by huge mosaics and is home to some of the most famous art works in the world such as Bernini’s Baldachin and Michelangelo’s Pietà. In the evening, attend the choir’s concert. Dinner will be on your own. Overnight in Rome.
DAY 10 – Wednesday, June 3, 2020 - ROME Enjoy some sightseeing of ancient Rome this morning that will include the Forum and the Colosseum, best known as the sight of violent games from AD 80 until the 6th century. Located in the center of the city, it is an example of the very best of Roman architecture and engineering. The Forum is surrounded by the ruins of several important ancient government buildings. In the afternoon, take an excursion just outside Rome to Palestrina or Tivoli to attend the choir’s concert. Return to Rome for dinner and overnight.
DAY 11 – Thursday, June 4, 2020 - ROME / USA After breakfast go to the airport to begin your journey back to the USA. You will take with you lifelong memories of exploring and performing in Italy, sharing your own culture and encountering the rich artistic culture of this beautiful country.
