Malbec WALUKE SLOPE VINEYARD, COLUMBIA VALLEY
About the Wine Arbor Crest is pleased to present our newest addition to the family, the Farrington Malbec from the Wahluke Slope Vineyard. Malbec is a variety originally grown in France and used as a blending grape in red Bordeaux wines. As a varietal, Malbec creates a rather intense wine with a deep violet color. This is an exciting wine full of rich cherry spiced with layers of chocolate and currant.
About the Vintage The 2015 growing season was optimal for Malbec. The ideal summer guided the fruit to reach full flavor and structural ripeness. The warm weather and cool evenings allowed for ideal hang time and flavor development, keeping the sugar- to- acid balance just perfect. In addition, the balanced crop load yielded intense varietal characteristics specific to Washington Malbec.
