The Essentials: Social Services and Well-being () Act - Learning Resources - There are now a growing number of resources available for all of us in relation to understanding what the act means for the society and the third sector. Working together to support offenders and their families in Wales - 8 February 2016, 10.00am - 3.00pm, Cardiff. Join us as we launch our development work in Wales aimed at supporting voluntary sector organisations working in the country! We will be bringing together partners from across the Criminal Justice System (CJS) including voluntary and statutory sector organisations, prison and probation staff and commissioners, in order to identify the current opportunities and challenges that exist in effectively supporting offenders and their families in Wales. Local News The Coalfields Regeneration Trust are looking at developing programmes of support for community groups that run and manage community facilities. It’s a lot shorter than the current version, and makes it clear that trustees have a key role to play in setting their charity’s approach to fundraising, and in making sure that it reflects their charity’s values. The commission would particularly like to hear from trustees whose charity raises money from the public. You can give feedback on the Charity Commission’s consultation page where you’ll find the draft guidance and a questionnaire. The consultation closes on 11 February.
