A massive NEWSFLASH‘thank you’ to Richard Palmer for his efforts in making this possible. St David’s Day Photo Shoot Sport Relief Charity Run Here we see Caela Hopkins & Max Price when they made themselves available for a St David’s Day photo opportunity. Four year old Caela is wearing the very latest in Welsh National costume with the addition of glittery black tights (chosen by herself, of course) and two and a half year old Max is showing off his personal preference complete with bow tie, cloth cap, weskit and leek. Duw, there’s lovely!

The Sport Relief Mile was an amazing day, with Mile events happening across the length and breadth of the country on 25th March 2012. We took part in a very picturesque Mile around Swansea Waterfront at 11am, the first Mile of the day. All sponsorship money given will help people living unimaginably tough lives both in the UK and across the world's poorest countries. Our team of 3 was called Run Rees Run!. The weather was very warm & sunny and we had a really good laugh taking part, and were some of the first to finish with Tomos, Alun and me coming in (in that order) with a time of between 11 & 12 minutes. Happy 10th Birthday, Tomos Tomos made light work of it (I held him back and personally I’m just trying to blot out the last few hundred meters!!) Sharon Rees Folks, if you think Sport Relief is a worthwhile cause, then why not sponsor team Run Rees Run! You can do so on their web page. It’s never too late! https://my.sportrelief.com/sponsor/RunReesRun

CHILLED-OUT WHIST! A bunch of Salem residents have been getting together to play a relaxed game of Progressive Whist on a ‘roughly once a month’ basis. The evenings are aimed at the more casual card player, but of course, everyone is more than welcome to take part. All the rules of the game are followed - it’s just that we play in a more relaxed manner. No worries, no sweat! So far, the evenings have proved to be a popular social event. So if you fancy a ‘nice game of cards and a cuppa’, just come along and join in the fun. We’d love to have you get involved. Dates of the sessions will be announced in the usual way; by email and word of mouth. Spice
