This lectionary is based upon the provisions as authorised by the Church of England.

This edition has been prepared during the Covid-19 pandemic and assumes a relatively normal keeping of the Calendar. The chapels referred to may not yet be able to be used.

On Sundays, the Church of England’s adapted form of The Revised Common Lectionary, published as the Principal Service Lectionary in The Christian Year: Calendar, Lectionary and Collects, and the Second and Third Service Lectionaries and the Common Worship Calendar also published in the same publications, are copyright © The Central Board of Finance of the Church of England, 1995, 1997; The Archbishops’ Council 1999.

The Sunday lectionary follows the Church of England’s Principal Service Lectionary and the weekday lectionary follows The Common Worship Weekday Lectionary © The Archbishops’ Council 1999. The Psalms follow the pattern in the Book of Common Prayer with Morning and Evening Psalms alternating monthly.

PRINCIPAL FEASTS and other PRINCIPAL HOLY DAYS (Christmas Day, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday etc.) are printed in bold capitals in the Lectionary.

Where FESTIVALS are moved to the nearest Sunday, the 8am Holy Communion should be the Eucharist of the Day.

FESTIVALS are printed in small bold capitals.

Lesser Festivals are printed in small bold print.

Commemorations are marked in italic and not in bold print.

For Principal Feasts, Principal Holy Days, Festivals and Lesser Festivals, there is full liturgical provision with Readings and Propers for the day and the colour of the day is marked.

Commemorations use the Readings, Collect of the day and the colour of the season.
