Universal Credit national expansion – Tranches Three and Four

On 16 February 2015 the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) began the national expansion of Universal Credit to the remaining areas across Great Britain following the successful expansion to the North West of during 2014.

Tranche One completed successfully in April 2015 and Tranche Two completed in July 2015. The completion of Tranche Two saw Universal Credit live in half of all Jobcentre areas and local authorities across Great Britain.

The lists below provide the detail of when the remaining Jobcentre areas and local authorities will go live with Universal Credit during Tranche Three (September – November 2015 and Tranche Four (December 2015 – April 2016).

As with Tranches One and Two, this roll out of Universal Credit will only be for new claims from single people, who would otherwise have been eligible for Jobseeker’s Allowance, including those with existing Housing Benefit and Working Tax Credit claims.
