Other Instructional Activities

2018 - 2019 Course Development, In September of 2018 I began working on notes for a Quantum Computing course in conjunction with my ongoing collaboration with the Quantum Informatics Group in ECE. This culminated in the MAT 5983 Topics in Appl Math - Quantum Computation course that I offered in Fall of 2019.

2018 Course Development, Taught course on Mathematical Challenges of the Smart Electric Grid - Solving the AC Optimal Power Flow ACOPF equations and Modeling design and operation of Microgrids. There were two students who took this independent study course: Dylan Willis and Richard Bragg (he took it in lieu of a company internship).

2018 Course Development, Taught Game Theory for the first time in Math Department. There were 4 Engineering, 1 Economics, and 5 AIM students in the class.

2018 Guest Lecture, MAA Student Chapter, Gave invited lecture: The Development of Three Integrals - those of Riemann, Stieltjes, and Hellinger - and their Applications

2018 Course Development, Taught Machine Learning and Data Analysis course for 3rd time. This is an important course that garners students not

2019 - 2020 Reviewer, Journal Article, Elsevier Journal: Applied Mathematics and Computation.

2019 Reviewer, Grant Proposal, Office of Texas State Senator Menendez, San Antonio, TX. I was asked by Tomas Larralde, Chief of Staff for Texas Senator Jose Menendez to review a proposal by a Mr. Guo Li for funding a Solar Thermal Concentrator power generation plant.
