Hans Zimmer was born on September 12, 1957 in , Germany. He was well known for using advanced synthesizers and computers on orchestra music for T.V. He moved to London in 1971 and made a worldwide hit called ¨Video killed the Radio Star¨. He has made lots more albums since then. He has made music for 80 movies. He also did TV shows for a while. He has been doing this for 20 years. He is married and has two kids. He combines old and new trilogis. He has 7 Golden Globes, 7 Grammys and 7 Oscars for 8 pieces. He performed for the first time with a 100 piece orchestra and a 100 piece choir.

Some of Hans Zimmer’s most famous movie soundtracks include , , Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Dark Knight. He is more known for doing music that is heavier and darker and that relies on lower brass and percussion. In total, Zimmer has been nominated for 7 Golden Globes, 7 Grammy’s, and 7 Oscars. In 2002, Zimmer branched out from just creating movie music to doing live performances of some of his most famous scores.

Hans Zimmer’s childhood was different from other kids in the world. He was interested in music at a very early age. He played the piano for about two weeks. When he was 14 he moved to London,England. In his childhood he got expelled from eight of schools because he was so interested with music that he did not do any school work. He joined a band named krakatoa and play the keyboard and the synthesizer.

Hans Zimmer’s parents were both Jewish, and they were able to escape Germany in 1939 before the holocaust. His father’s name is Hans J. Zimmer, and his mother’s name is Brigitte Zimmer. Brigitte Zimmer was also musical and very creative, and his father was an engineer and an inventor. Hans Zimmer’s father died when he was a child, and he used music as a way to escape the grief. He said, “Music became my best friend.”

When going more in depth into various tracks that Zimmer composed, one can look at multiple examples to see a relatively consistent style. When looking at the main theme from Pirates of the Caribbean, there is a rumbling bassline that dominates for most of the song, and then a fast paced jig that comes on top. This is similar to many other songs that Hans Zimmer did because there is not a lighter melody with instruments like flute or clarinet. If you look at other movie soundtracks the were composed by Zimmer, the deep bassline and lack of a treble clef melody. This can be confirmed when we look at or Man of Steel. All of these songs (composed by Zimmer) have deep bass lines and are very serious and dark.

However, one of Zimmer’s most famous pieces breaks his more dark and deep style of composing. Hans Zimmer won a golden globe and several other awards for his work in The Lion King, which was a soundtrack that was much more dependent on instruments that play in the treble clef. This includes trumpets, clarinets, and flutes.

Hans Zimmer’s daughter Zoe Zimmer (whom he had with his first wife) is a model and is quite successful. Hans Zimmer has had two wives. His former wife’s name is Vicki Carolin, who was also a model. Hans had 2 children with his second wife, Suzanne Zimmer. His Children's’ names are Brigitte and Jake Zimmer.

Zimmer’s innovative style of music has not been without consequence however, as with his talent, he can pull almost any musical feat off, but others who try to follow in his footsteps are less successful and it creates a very monotonous sound in as everyone attempts to create a low, deep brass and percussion discussion oriented soundtrack, but they cannot do it as well as Hans Zimmer. That being said, Hans Zimmer has become a pioneer and tycoon in the musical world.
