HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE
The New York Public Interest Index is intended to be a starting point for a search for summer, pro bono, or postgraduate positions in the New York metropolitan area. It lists examples of public interest and government organizations, divided according to practice area, with accompanying website information. (Note that an organization may only be listed under one subject even if it practices in more than one area.) The Index should be used in conjunction with other job search resources, such as PSJD.org or the Arizona Government Honors and Internship Handbook. For current contact information, and more specific information about each organization and government office on the list, please visit their websites.
Inclusion in this list does not indicate an endorsement of the organization or its work by Columbia Law School or Social Justice Initiatives (SJI). Nor does it indicate that the organization currently has openings.
