1801-26 ? Did Hugh Jones Esq purchase lands in Llanfrothen from Sir Watkin Williams -Wynne III of Wynnstay? If so, those lands were probably previously Wynne of Gwydir property.

Large croglofft building on steeply sloping hillside on lane to north of main road A487. Large recessed L end wall fireplace with large wooden bressummer; to R is a croglofft covering half the building. ?Original roof timbers survive.
No house / family history known. Said to have belonged to a family of sailors; the Traeth Mawr foreshore was closeby.
