RULES AND CONDITIONS A) GENERAL 1— That the Society be called by the name of and District Agricultural Society and that it consists of a President, Vice-President, Patrons, Secretary, Treasurer and Members. 2—That the principal object of the Society is to offer Premium to tenant Farmers and Freeholders for improvement in the breed of Cattle, Horses and Sheep; for Garden Produce, and to promote the interest of the manufacturing industry. 3— Show opens at 8.00 a.m. Judging to commence at 9.00 a.m. prompt. 4— Every person subscribing £6 before the Show is entitled to one free entrance ticket and car in Showfield and persons subscribing £10 before the Show are entitled to two free entrance tickets and car in Showfield. 5— The Committee will not be responsible for any damage done to, or loss of, any exhibit during or after the event, or for any accident to Competitors, Spectators or their property at the Show. B) EXHIBITING OF LIVESTOCK 6— One attendant will be admitted to the Showground free of charge with each exhibit in Horse, Sheep and Cattle Section. (Maximum of two free admissions per vehicle). 7— Entry fees: Horses and Cattle £5, Sheep £3. Entry fee reduced by 50% for patrons subscribing £10 or more. No exhibit to enter Show ring unless fee is paid. 8— Persons in charge must attend to their exhibits and obey instructions of Stewards,otherwise they will be subject to expulsion from the Showfield 9— Officials are not allowed to lead any exhibit in the Judging Ring with their Badges on. 10— No one is allowed in the Ring during judging unless in charge of an animal which is being exhibited in the class, and if any person be found hindering the judges or appointed officials in their official capacities, he will at once be removed from the Show ground. 11— No animal can be exhibited in the In Milk Classes and the In Calf Class. 12—The Committee reserves the right to object to any unmanageable animal. 13— Only the signed award of the Judges will be accepted by the Secretaries as evidence that a prize has been awarded. The production of a prize card by the Exhibitor will not entitle him or her to a prize. 14— No prizewinner to leave the Showfield before the Parade without written permission of the Secretary. 15 —Unless there are three exhibitors in a section the Committee reserves the right to withdraw that Section. 16— All exhibits must be bona-fide the property of the exhibitor for 28 days prior to day of Show. C) OBJECTIONS 17 —All objections in the Show must be made in writing within half an hour after each event, accompanied by a deposit of £5 on each exhibit, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld. 18— In the event of an objection the Committee reserves the right to measure a horse. Half an inch allowance will be made for shoes in measuring. 19— The decision of the Committee will be final in all classes. D) HORTICULTURAL, DOMESTIC AND HANDICRAFTS ETC. 20— All horticultural exhibits must have been grown by the exhibitor for at least 3 months previous to the Show date. The Committee will strictly adhere to this rule and reserve the right to visit any garden before or after the Show. 21— One Free Admission Pass will be given to All Exhibitors in these sections who have 15 entries or over who have paid their entry fee before the closing date for entries. and Passes will be issued before the Show.

CATTLE BRUCELLOSIS ACCREDITED HERDS SCHEME Animals from Accredited Herds only.

SHEEP Maedi Visna Accredited Sheep Separate designated area will be provided for entries from Maedi Visna Accredited Flocks. N.B. All exhibitors who wish to gain entry into the approved Section must produce a current certificate of official Maedi Visna Accredited Status (SH20) for inspection by Show Stewards before unloading of sheep may proceed.

HORSES W.P.C.S. CONDITIONS In the case of an animal not registered at the time of entry at the show at which a medal is competed for, application for registration or entry in the Appendix must be made within one month of the date of the show, otherwise the medal will not be awarded. Geldings registered as stallions and still being shown under their stallion numbers, must be correctly re-entered in the Gelding Section or the medal will be withheld. No animal shall be awarded more than one Gold, Silver or Bronze medal in any one season. Welsh Pony Stallion Premium Champion at Glanusk is exempt from this rule. Medals will only be awarded to animals whose owners are members of the Welsh Pony & Cob Society who have paid their subscriptions for the current year or are life members or who have submitted their name for membership and paid one annual subscription or life membership composition. This hat must be worn at all times. Exhibitors in the Cob and Pony Section should note that in addition to a Trophy, ‘‘The Welsh Pony and Cob Society’’ offer their Bronze Medal for the Best Exhibit in Classes 7 –12, 14 –18 and also in Classes 20 –24 and 26 –31 subject to the condition laid down by the W.P.C.S. A performance medal will be awarded to the Champion Ridden Welsh. Notice to members of Carmarthenshire, & Welsh Pony & Cob Associations (Sections A, B, C and D). Please note that a new Points System is being introduced at this Show in accordance with the Association’s competition. Members should ensure that they bring their membership points cards with them on Show day for certification.
