www.llanilars1 how.co.uk 2 Message from the Llanilar Show President

I am writing this message at the request of my brother Peter who at the current time is in hospital. By the time of the Show, in August, I hope that Peter will have made a full recovery. I am so grateful (as is he) for all the messages of goodwill and generous offers of help that he has received. After a long and wet winter, and with uncertainty over Britain’s future in Europe, the agricultural industry con- tinues to be under pressure. The Llanilar Show allows us to celebrate and promote excellence in all aspects of rural life, especially agriculture. It brings great pleasure to all involved, not least visitors like me who are privileged to enjoy the beauty of the Ystwyth valley and the hospitality that Llanilar, and the Show always provide. Peter wishes to express his thanks to all those who have contributed to this year’s show, and wishes everyone attending a very happy day. Patrick Loxdale 16 April 2016

Neges gan Gadeirydd Sioe Llanilar Once again I would like to welcome you all to the Llani- lar show. This year we have welcomed Sheila Stephens as our new Honourable Secretary and I must thank her, and the rest of the committee for their hard work and commitment throughout the year.

As the show grows each year I must also thank all the volunteers who give their time, not only on show day but also for preparing the field and cleaning up afterwards.

The success of the show is dependant upon the competitors, in both the field and tent sections and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support and wish you all good luck on the day.

Diolch yn fawr am eich cefnogaeth, a phob lwc i bawb. Jean Evans
