“ESC, WHAT ELSE? Seminar”

What it is? A seminar with the main aim is to promote and raise awareness, both hosting and sending organizations, of young people in social exclusion risk, less opportunities or special needs potential as volunteers, especially within European Solidarity Corps program.

The objectives of this project are:

1. To deepen in the ESC inclusion opportunities.

2. To raise awareness in hosting organizations about the opportunities of include young people with special needs or in social exclusion risk and the social changes that it brings.

3. To promote inclusion of young people with less opportunities through the youth participation and ESC program.

For whom? The ideal participants for this project should be people in charge of ESC working actively in your organizations and/or ESC volunteers mentors, aged over 18 years old, with high motivation to implement accessible and inclusive youth projects within ESC program.

Personal assistant: there is a chance to include the participation of some personal assistance for those participants who could need according with their disability and personal situation, so please, in case the representant of your organization need, let us to know as soon as possible in order to organize between different needs and posibilities.

Dates, venue and meeting point

25th August to 1st September, 2019 - arrival date, 25th August and departure date, 1st September.

In the region of , south of Spain in the village called which is part of the .

The closer international airports to Granada city are:

- Granada (although could be more expensive), - Málaga (1h 30min. by bus to Granada with ALSA company, easy one), - Sevilla (3h by bus to Granada with ALSA company), - (5h by bus to Granada with ALSA company, cheapest and frequent conection), - (5h by bus to Granada with ALSA company)

As soon as you decide your itinerary to Spain, we will facilitate the personal information in order to make easy your arrival to the venue so, don’t worry.

The meeting point will be around 20:00h on August, 25th and it could be Granada or Málaga, so we will agree with you according with your time and arrival airport because Sunday afternoon there is not direct connection by public transport between Granada or Málaga to Alhama de Granada.

The trainers and logistical team

VIRGINIA (VIKI) HERNANDEZ ISMAEL (CHUTY) SANCHEZ Virginia is a Sign Language Interpreter, Ismael is a teacher, youth worker, trainer, youth worker, profesional educator, big fun of non-formal , dreamer... and much more! Have been musician... and more than that! He is an working with young people with special expert on the inclusion field, ESC program needs for more than 10 years, promoting and Erasmus+. inclusion and young people participation.

Two enthusiastic, motivate and a bit crazy young people from Granada who will be glad to support and assist you before, during and after this fantastic seminar which will open great chance for all of us!!!
