Avec cette partie du projet intégré « Péninsule Amalfitaine et Sorrentine », soutenu par la Délégation Régionale chargée du Tourisme et des Biens Culturels de la Campanie et mis en œuvre par l’Organisme Provincial pour le Tourisme de Naples, on entre dans le vif d’un parcours de valorisation d’une partie importante du territoire de la Campanie. Les instruments de connaissance de cette zone sont amplifiés grâce à la collaboration synergique des différents opérateurs, dans le but de rendre le territoire concerné toujours plus compétitif. L’intégration de nombreuses propositions touristiques, aussi bien de la part des com- munes du littoral que de celles de l'arrière-pays, est un point de force pour promouvoir en un seul ensemble la côte de Sorrente et de Amalfi sur le marché national et international. La « Costiera » désigne ici un système unique d’offre touristique, qui présente au vi- siteur des panoramas époustouflants, un patrimoine œnologique et gastronomique de très haute qualité et une aptitude à l’accueil qui conjugue, depuis toujours, style et cor- dialité, raffinement et simplicité. La côte vante, du reste, une vocation innée au tourisme: un destin déjà inscrit dans sa morphologie et dans le charme unique de ses paysages, qui continuent à attirer des millions de touristes venant du monde entier. À cela, il convient d’ajouter une expérience séculaire d’ouverture vers l’autre, une excellence également reconnue par le World Trade Market de Londres, l’une des bourses du tourisme parmi les plus importantes au monde, qui, dans son catalogue européen 2005-2006, a récompensé les hôtels de la péninsule en leur décernant le prix Thomson Award pour l’excellence de l’hospitalité. Cet immense capital de saveurs et de suggestions, de parfums et de vues qui s’éten- dent entre la montagne et la mer, nous le retrouvons aujourd’hui regroupé sous un unique label, avec ses paysages enchanteurs, ses traditions et ses multiples produits du ter- roir. Rassembler toutes ces données revient à offrir à toute l'industrie du tourisme de la côte un instrument de marketing évolué et efficace. Un abordage virtuel au moyen du- quel il sera possible de « vendre » au mieux l’un de nos produits les plus extraordinaires: notre « Costiera ». Notre objectif est la qualité de l’offre touristique des territoires concernés qui méritent des rôles de premier plan dans les circuits internationaux. Dans un contexte complexe, caractérisé par de multiples ressources appartenant à des filières de tourismes différents, il faudra continuer à œuvrer pour que les différentes identités présentes sur le territoire soient mises en évidence, mais ce, au sein d’un même para- digme commun: l’identification. La côte amalfitaine et la côte sorrentine représentent un seul et unique ensemble. S’étendant entre les Golfes de Naples et de Salerne, ces terres offrent des panoramas infinis, des beautés inattendues, des restes archéologiques et d’antiques demeures, les arômes et les saveurs de la cuisine méditerranéenne. Plages, criques, cultures et jardins en terrasses, anciennes tours et églises s’entremêlent pour former un ensemble d’une rare beauté. Le tourisme est le pétrole de notre région et l’offre se doit d’être compétitive et ef- ficace, en mesure de cueillir les vocations du territoire tout en échelonnant les flux tou- ristiques. Angelo Villani Président Province de Salerne L a publication de cet annuaire de voyage est le premier pas vers la réalisation d’une importante initiative de promotion touristique: le Projet Intégré «Péninsule Amalfi- taine et Sorrentine», fortement désiré par la Délégation chargée du Tourisme et des Biens Culturels de la Région Campanie et dont le principal promoteur est l’Organisme Provincial pour le Tourisme de Naples. Deux réalités qui appartiennent à des territoires différents mais se proposent ensem- ble et pour la première fois sur le marché international en un unique système d’offre touristique, appelé «Costiera» (la Côte). Un choix stratégique qui s’inspire des expériences désormais consolidées d’autres lieux importants du tourisme international tel que la Riviera romagnole ou la Côte d’Azur et qui se donne comme objectif la diversification et le développement de l’of- fre touristique de la «Costiera». La Côte est déjà une destination parmi les plus connues et les plus prestigieuses au monde et peut compter sur une multitude de pro- duits touristiques dont le territoire abonde: des parcours œnogastronomiques aux iti- néraires religieux, des activités sportives aux randonnées en passant par les circuits de l’artisanat typique. Les interventions visent donc à encourager davantage encore le système d’accueil, à améliorer la mobilité et à confirmer l’attrait que représente la « Costiera » pour le tou- risme italien et étranger. Mais il s’agit également de valoriser l'arrière-pays, par exem- ple en accordant plus d'attention aux sentiers de randonnées, dans le but d'alléger l'af- fluence dans les zones côtières et d’échelonner les flux touristiques sur toute l’année. But just a few turns off the main drag is a relatively obscure town that might be the best-kept secret on the famed Italian costiera. Tucked in the mountains between Positano and Amalfi, the coast’s namesake, Praiano is an ancient fi shing village that was the favorite summer retreat of first-century Roman emperors and the medieval-era doges (dukes) of the maritime Republic of Amalfi. Whitewashed homes with terraced gardens cascade down dramatic stone cliffs; historic sites and natural wonders pepper this hilly expanse of the Sorrentine Peninsula, and small boutiques sell locally made wares, all minus the tourists who throng the streets of Praiano’s better-known neighbors. Fishing and artisanal craftsmanship remain the two main industries in this town of only 2,000 permanent residents, which means visitors can enjoy just-caught seafood at the many alfresco trattorias that dot the mountainsides and stock up on handcrafted majolica ceramics. But the main attraction in Praiano remains what everyone comes to the Amalfi Coast to see: jaw-dropping vistas visible from every nook and alley in the hamlet.
