Thank you for participating in the Semi-Private Saturn Yagya series. This was a uniquely successful event and I wanted to share some photos with you.

For each yagya there was a private section in which your own priest performed abishekam on the Saturn murti in the temple. Those photos are attached to the email. The yagyas were performed at an ancient Shiva Temple in the agri- cultural area that surrounds Kanchipuram. Preparations for the vedic fire yagya were quite elaborate. It takes many litres of milk to perform an abishekam!

After the sacred yagya fire is lit, offerings of ghee, wood, and various spices are made into the fire while mantras are chanted.

Final mantra recitation at the end of the pujas and fire yagya. Each individual participant has their own kalasha pot with flower mala and coconut. At the very end of the ritual Saturn is taken for a walk around the outer perimiter of the temple.
