Sunday Morning Celebration January 3, 2021 Replaying Sri Sarada Devi Puja at the Yoga Center from 1-5-20 Dear Devotees, This week we celebrate the birth of Sri Sarada Devi with a puja. After the passing of Sri Ramakrishna, it was Sri Ma who carried on His work. She extended the unconditional love of the mother to all. “He (Ramakrishna) has left me behind to manifest that Divine Motherhood in the world.” Sri Ma said, “Whenever you are in distress, just say to yourself ‘I have a Mother’”. “‘I have a Mother’ is a mantra not just for the children in distress. It is for all of Mother’s children and for all occasions. Those amongst us whose spiritual lives are influenced by the power and light of Ramakrishna’s wisdom are Holy Mother’s children. Every time we remember ‘I have a mother,’ we hear Mother saying, ‘You are my child.’” Swami Tyagananda Durga Puri Devi, a disciple of Sri Ma, inspires us with this message from Sri Ma, “To those who have come and those who have not come, even to those who will come in the future, let all my children know that my love and blessings are there for each and every one of them.” She is still blessing us today. As we participate is this puja, may we be open to Her love and grace. He dwells in the hearts of all…The world belongs to him. Nothing happens without his wish. Even the leaves of the tree do not move without his will…Know for certain that it is the will of God that such longing has dawned in your heart. Those who love God, He protects them. Whether you love Him or not, He loves you.” Sri Sarada Devi and Her Divine Play Pg 693 by Swami Chetanananda Ramakrishna Ananda’s new video is called, “What is a yogi?” The term yogi is often used in a casual way, but Ramakrishna Ananda says that the definition of a yogi is a high and wonderful thing. He explains that a yogi is one whose mind and consciousness are permanently settled in the soul and the true self. The Bhagavad Gita says that the yogi has renounced selfish motives and is not attached to sense objects or actions or accomplishments. This realization can be found through the dedicated practice of any of the main yogas.
