The Clothworkers Foundation aims through its funding to improve the quality of life, particularly for people and communities facing disadvantage such as; disabled people, older people, disadvantaged young people, homeless people and more. There is no maximum grant for their main grants scheme while their small grants scheme is £10,000 max. Their one-off grants are for the purchase of specific and pre-determined capital item(s) for a particular project.

Sport England – Community Asset Fund

Sport England want to work with clubs and groups that really respond to the people in their local community. They’re looking to work with different groups and organisations that ensure everyone has the opportunity to choose to take part in sport and physical activity. You can apply for between £1,000-£150,000.

Some projects might be:

 Looking to take over an underused sports facility or one under threat of closure (for example, you may need financial support to bring a building back into use)

 Wanting to expand or improve the experience you offer your customers (for example, upgrade a changing room or installing new toilets, heating system or social space)

 Responding to an emergency or unexpected event that’s stopping people from being active (for example, fixing a roof that's been damaged by flooding)

Foyle Foundation – Small Grants Scheme

The Foyle Foundation’s Small Grants Scheme is designed to support smaller charities registered and operating in the , especially those working at grass roots and local community level, in any field, across a wide range of activities. You can apply for between £1,000 and £10,000 for core costs, equipment or project funding to charities which can show that such a grant will make a significant difference to their work.

The NFU Mutual Charitable Trust

The NFU Mutual Charitable Trust provides grants for projects that strengthen rural areas of the UK, particularly those that educate young people and relieve poverty. The Trust will focus on providing funding to larger initiatives, which would have a significant impact on the rural community. Although there are no set funding levels, grants tend to range from £1,000 to £30,000. Charitable organisations based and working within the UK seeking funding for charitable initiatives in the areas of education, research, social welfare and poverty relief can apply. It is not necessary to be a registered charity to apply.

Paul Hamlyn Foundation – Youth Fund

Not for profit youth organisations that support young people (aged 14 - 25) facing disadvantage can apply for grants of between £30,000 and £60,000. The funding is available for up to two years and will support the core operating costs of the applicant organisation. Examples of what can be funded include:

 part-funding the salary of a key individual  policy work  additional fundraising or income generation capacity  upgrading IT systems or website to reach young people online

They fund work with young people that starts by recognising and building on their strengths, and potential.

Bruce Wake Charitable Trust

The Trustees will consider grant applications related to the provision of leisure activities for the disabled but favour particularly applications whereby the potential beneficiaries meet one or all of the following criteria:

 The potential beneficiaries are physically disabled wheelchair users

 Improved access for wheelchair users is proposed

 A sporting or leisure activity involving disabled wheelchair users is proposed
