Day 1, Saturday, Welcome to ! Proceed through passport control, retrieve your luggage & continue through customs to the arrivals hall. Our representative will be holding a sign with your last name for your private transfer to the hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, present your prepaid voucher. This afternoon, meet your tour guide at your hotel for a welcome cocktail and briefing. Dinner and overnight in your hotel in Catania. (D)

Day 2, Sunday, Catania – Siracusa – Modica – Ragusa: After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, drive to Syracuse to visit the marvelous archaeological area. Then continue to the island of Ortigia, where you will see the magnificent cathedral and the Fountain of Arethusa. Then head over to Modica, a town part of UNESCO Heritage Sites in Italy, where you will visit a chocolate factory that gives you the opportunity to create your own chocolate bar! Dinner and overnight in Ragusa. Optional night tour of the ancient city Ragusa “Ibla,” cradle of Sicilian baroque; supplement to be paid on the spot; excursion will take place with a minimum of participants. (B, D)

Day 3, Monday, Ragusa – Piazza Armerina – Agrigento: This morning enjoy breakfast at your hotel and continue to Piazza Armerina to marvel at the ’s rich mosaics. Eat lunch in a local restaurant before driving to Agrigento. Visit the Valley of the Temples including the Temples of Juno, Concord, and . Accommodation and dinner in Agrigento. (B, L, D)

Day 4, Tuesday, Agrigento – – Monreale: This morning, before heading out for today’s tour enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Then set off for Palermo and a visit to Monreale in the afternoon to see the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful monuments of the world of Moorish architecture. You will have the chance to taste Palermo’s street food, one of the most renowned all over the world, while wandering its historic centre. In the afternoon, visit the historical centre of Palermo: the Cathedral and Palazzo Mirto a noble residence located in the ancient quarter of Kalsa. Dinner in a local restaurant. Accommodation and overnight in Monreale. (B, D)

Day 5, Wednesday, Palermo – – Palermo: This morning, buffet breakfast at the hotel, and then depart for , to the medieval village of Erice, located on top of a hill overlooking the city of and the Egadi Islands. Continue on to Marsala, a city on the western coast, famous for its sweet Sicilian wine. Stop at a prestigious winery for a guided tour of the historic Wine Cellars and for a tasting of wines with local food pairings. Head down to the Trapani area for a panoramic tour of the salt windmills and basins. Return to Palermo for dinner on your own. Overnight in Palermo. (B, D)

Day 6, Thursday, Palermo – Cefalu – Nebrodi Park – : Once again, enjoy breakfast at your hotel, before departing for Cefalu to admire its well-preserved Arab-Norman Cathedral. Enjoy a walk around the city centre and down Main Street to visit the medieval wash-house built in the rock. Drive through Nebrodi Park and enjoy lunch in the Miraglia Forest. Continue to Cesarò and Randazzo to visit the north part of Mount Etna. Continue to Taormina known as “the pearl of the Ionic sea”. Accommodation and dinner in Taormina (B, L, D)

Day 7, Friday, Taormina – Mt. Etna (Optional) – Taormina: This morning, after breakfast, weather permitting; you can join an optional morning excursion to Mount Etna, Europe’s highest active volcano. Across a fascinating landscape, you will reach a height of 1800 meters and you will enjoy a fantastic panorama of the Ionic Sea (supplement on the spot; the excursion will take place with a minimum of participants). Lunch on your own. Afternoon in Taormina: enjoy some leisure time for shopping or walking through the tiny streets. Possibility to visit the Roman-Greek theatre on your own. Dinner and overnight in Taormina (B, D).

Day 8, Saturday, Taormina – Catania – Malta: Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel, and then the rest of the morning is at your leisure. Transfer from Taormina to Catania Airport for your flight to Valletta, the capital of Malta, a delightful Mediterranean island. With a late arrival at the hotel, a light dinner is served in your room. Overnight in Malta. (B, D)

Day 9, Sunday, Malta “Marsaxlokk Market & the Blue Grotto”: After a restful sleep, start the day with breakfast, then head out to discover the idyllic fishing village of Marsaxlokk and its local market. Continue your day with a tour of the Blue Grotto (weather permitting) and the caves. Explore one of Malta’s villages, the main square, the hub of the village with its parish church and band club. Afternoon at leisure; spend the rest of the day relaxing or continue to explore at your leisure. Dinner at hotel. (B, D)

Day 10, Monday, Malta “Valetta + Malta Experience” Enjoy a morning tour of Valletta – Malta’s heritage-rich capital. Highlights include the Upper Barracca Gardens and St John’s Cathedral, home to a splendid Caravaggio painting as well as an intriguing Museum. The excursion ends with a visit to the Grandmaster’s Palace, before you watch the Malta Experience, an audiovisual will show will bring Malta’s history back to life. Day 11, Tuesday, Malta “”: Again, this morning, enjoy the buffet breakfast in your hotel. Today’s excursion takes us to the central part of Malta, dominated by the medieval fortified city of Mdina, Malta’s former capital city. The narrow streets, dating back to medieval times, lead to the imposing bastions. Leaving Mdina through the Greeks’ Gate, with a stop to visit the early Christian in Rabat before proceeding to the cliffs at Dingli.After lunch we will visit the San Anton botanical gardens situated near the Presidential Palace, which you will admire from outside. We will also spend time at the crafts centre at Ta’ Qali. At the end of the tour, we will visit the majestic Mosta Dome, one of Europe’s largest. (B, L, D)

Day 12, Wednesday, Malta: After breakfast at the hotel, private transfer to the port or the airport of Valletta. (B)
