Supporting the Acceleration of National Infrastructure, Semen Gresik Supplies Cement Needs for the KIT Batang Strategic Project Press Release: 1277/HM.01.02/SUP/50048642/5000/06.2021 Supporting the Acceleration of National Infrastructure, Semen Gresik Supplies Cement Needs for the KIT Batang Strategic Project Rembang, June 17, 2021 - PT Semen Gresik (SG), again, supported the National Strategic Project (PSN) by supplying raw materials for the construction of the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate (KIT Batang) in Central Java, covering an area of 4,300 ha. Vice President of Corporate Sales of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), Joni Gunawan, explained that, as part of SIG, SG had supplied 100% of cement needs since the beginning of the KIT Batang construction in February 2021 until recently. "We always try to maintain the quality and availability of the cement for the project development needs. The project acceleration can be supported by SG's capability in supplying fleets and cement stocks," said Gunawan in a press release, Thursday (6/17). In constructing access roads and bridges, regional development, and supporting facilities in KIT Batang, he continued, SG supplied selected products, specifically UltraPro, which provided many advantages. ''UltraPro combines the construction simplicity and outcome with maximum strength, making it adequate for sturdy constructions requiring higher initial and final compressive strengths that are adjusted to the project quality specifications. For this reason, it is safe for vehicles with massive loads to pass through this industrial area,'' he added. In addition, Ultrapro also has an optimal dry time and better flexural strength, which provide the best concrete performance with a smoother finish. "Their trust in us proves that this project has a major concern in maintaining the quality of infrastructure construction, starting from road access, regional development, to its supporting facilities," Joni claimed. Joni added that SG was committed to providing support in accelerating the KIT Batang development, which presented as the Government's effort to realize the national economic recovery due to the Covid- 19 pandemic. As a national project, KIT Batang was built as a new growth center and was expected to attract foreign investors, which could open job opportunities in the construction, electronics, logistics, transportation, nutrition, health, and other industries sectors. In addition to the KIT Batang project, SG was also involved in the construction of other National Strategic Projects in Indonesia, such as the Semarang-Demak Toll Road, Jogja-Solo Toll Road, Kediri Airport, Tukul Reservoir/Dam, Kulon Progo Airport and the Kulon Progo Railway projects, Solo Airport Railway, Ahmad Yani Airport, the Bogowonto Project, and Krian-Legundi-Bunder-Manyar Toll Road. *** About Semen Gresik PT Semen Gresik or SG is one of the subsidiaries of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) TBK or SIG, established on January 10, 2014. Under the coordination of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Indonesia has mainstreamed SDGs into National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) and elaborated in the Government Work Plan (RKP) annual budget documents. In its implementation, Indonesia upholds the SDGs principles, namely (i) universal development principles, (ii) integration, (iii) no one left behind, and (iv) inclusive principles. Achievement of the ambitious SDGs targets, a set of international commitments to end poverty and build a better world by 2030, will require significant investment. Bago, formerly known as Hanthawaddy, is the capital of the Bago Region in Myanmar. It is located 91 kilometers north-east of Yangon. The first phase of the new airport, a joint venture between Myanmar and Japan, is slated to be complete in 2027 with help from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). JICA will now conduct an environmental impact assessment and the draft report was submitted to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation in October. Located around 80 kilometers from Yangon, the new airport will cost between USD 1.5 billion and USD 2 billion to develop and when complete, will be the biggest airport in Myanmar. The land price bid made by this private company is very high. This study aims to determine the social changes in lifestyle and mindset of the people in Tarokan District and its surroundings in their daily life. This research uses social change theory of Gilin and Gillin, theory of lifestyle of Minor and Mowen, Dweck's mindset theory and Berger's social class theory. The method used in this research is a mixed method. Qualitative data collection was carried out by conducting in-depth interviews, observations, and FGDs. Meanwhile, quantitative data collection was done by filling out questionnaires. The results of this study are the existence of changes in social, suach as social class, lifestyle, and the mindset of the people affected by land acquisition at Kediri airport. The lifestyle adopted by the affected community is a modern lifestyle, a thrifty lifestyle, a healthy lifestyle, and a hedonistic lifestyle. The mindset possessed by most of the affected communities is a static mindset and only few affected people have a dynamic mindset. The static mindset of the community can be seen from the principle of land swaps and the spending of money from airport land acquisition to buy material things such as houses, cars and motorbikes for personal interest.
