GET ON THE WATER a. Tracy Arm Fjord Boat Tour – 8-10 hours Board the 100 person boat two blocks from here for a trip to another world! Your ultimate destination is the very active Sawyer Glacier. On your way you will see huge icebergs, 1000 foot waterfalls, emerald green water, snowcapped peaks and shear rock palisades. Watch for whales, porpoise, seals, eagles, bears and mountain goats. Food is available for purchase but we recommend bringing your own. 8-10 hours. b. BEST OF JUNEAU - Whale Watch, Mendenhall Glacier and Salmon Bake If you only have one day or are maximizing your time this is the trip for you. You will go on a 2 hour whale watch adventure then off to visit our famous Mendenhall Glacier and end with delicious all you can eat fresh southeast salmon - salmon bake in a spectacular rustic setting.

c. Whale Watching – 3 hours We prefer the smaller, more intimate boats. From downtown you are taken by bus to beautiful Auke Bay, where the humpbacks are feeding 23 hours per day. If you're fortunate you will witness the famous "bubble net feeding.” Other wildlife in the area are orca, eagles, sea lions and more. Departs multiple times per day.

j. Fortress of the Bears Kayak – 8 hours Go on an unforgettable wildlife kayaking and brown bear viewing experience into the “Fortress of the Bears” on Admiralty Island! You’ll begin your day with a 25-minute scenic floatplane flight to Windfall Island on the remote Admiralty Island. From here, you’ll kayak about 1 mile to the world -famous Pack Creek Bear Sanctuary, the prime brown bear viewing area. This unique wildlife viewing destination provides protected habitat for brown bears allowing visitors an opportunity to view and photograph wildlife up close and personal in their natural habitat. k. Floatplane Homestead Visit & Salmon Bake – 3 hours Combine the awe-inspiring flight seeing tour of glaciers with an incredible salmon feast at the historic Taku Lodge. Your Seaplane will land on the mighty Taku River and dock at the Taku Lodge, an authentic dog training lodge on the National Registry of Historic Places. Dine on fresh king salmon while listening to the incredible story of Mary Joyce and other colorful residents of the nearly 100 year old lodge. Both brown and black bears are seen on this property. l. Zip Lining – 3 hours Explore the Tongass National Forest while gliding through the air! Soar from tree to tree in this exhilarating experience! View wildlife, enjoy mountain and water views, learn about the Tongass National Forest, and immerse yourself among the giant hemlock and spruce trees. No experience necessary. Bus departs from downtown at the Tram.

m. Walking Food Tour – 3 hours As highlighted in the New York Times, explore Juneau’s burgeoning food scene as you make your way through the best eateries in town. Learn Juneau history while you dine on succulent seafood, candies and cookies, and locally crafted beers. There are 8 tastings in all, two you get to take with you. n. Glacier Shuttle This is a narrated express direct transportation 14 miles from downtown to the Mendenhall Glacier. "The Blue Bus" runs every 30 minutes beginning at 8:00am till 6:00pm on most days. Let our Bright Blue Bus take you out to the “Big Blue Ice” (The USFS charges $5 to enter the Visitors Center and that fee is included in the tour price) o. City, Douglas Island and Hatchery Trolley Tour Includes Juneau's Best historic tour with the Governor's Mansion, Panoramic photo Op on Douglas Island, a tour of Macaulay Salmon Hatchery taking about 40 minutes. Salmon are more plentiful after July 4th thru end of August when fish are returning. (Includes the $5 entry fee to the Hatchery)

p. Mendenhall Glacier Ice Cave Trekking 8 hours Enjoy a fabulous guided trek on one of the many glaciers in the Juneau area. This requires physical fitness and is a moderately strenuous tour. This tour is your chance to truly explore areas of the glacier you never thought possible with an experienced wilderness guide.

q. Sled Dog Summer Camp 2.5 hours (1 hour at camp) Want to dog mush but not pay for a helicopter trip? This is the trip for you. Climb on board the specially designed 6-8 passenger wheeled dog sled and be whisked back in time by your team of energetic Alaskan huskies. This wheeled cart is a mile long dirt trail. Enjoy views of scenic Sheep Creek Valley, at the site of the historic AJ Gold Mine, where you will embark on an educational tour of Sheep Creek Dog camp. You will be entertained with real stories from the trail and legends from the days of the Gold Rush. Meet a real Iditarod musher, visit an exact replica of an Iditarod Race checkpoint, and tour a dog musher’s summer training camp.
