Oregon Ocean Salmon Sport Seasons, 2021 Statewide Regulations: • Anglers for salmon and all anglers fishing from boats with a salmon on board are limited to no more than 2 single point barbless hooks per line, and no more than one line per angler. • It is unlawful to for or take and retain any legal while possessing on board any species not allowed to be taken in that area at that time. • Minimum lengths: Chinook = 22” N. of Cape Falcon, and 24” S. of Cape Falcon; coho = 16”; steelhead = 20”; and no min. length for , chum, or in ocean . • Refer to the “2021 Sportfishing Regulations” booklet for descriptions of special marine management areas including closed areas and additional restrictions.

Leadbetter Point, WA to Cape Falcon, OR

June 19-26: All salmon except coho. One salmon per day.

June 27 thru August 29. Open for all salmon (all coho must have a healed adipose fin clip). Two salmon per day, but no more than one Chinook. Notes: Open seven days per week. Closed within the Columbia Control Zone.

Cape Falcon to Humbug Mountain Chinook Season (all salmon except coho):Open March 15 through Oct. 31. Two salmon per day, closed to retention of coho except as listed below for the “selective coho” and the “non-selective coho” seasons.

Selective Coho (fin-clipped) Season - Cape Falcon to OR/CA border Open June 12 through earlier of Aug. 28 or 120,000 fin-clipped coho quota. Two salmon per day. Open for all salmon, all coho must have a healed adipose fin-clip.

Non-selective Coho Season (all salmon): Open Sept. 10-12, and then seven days per week from Friday September 17 through the earlier of Sept. 30 or 14,000 20,230 non-mark-selective coho quota. All salmon. Two salmon per day.

Notes: •Within the Stonewall Bank Yelloweye Rockfish Conservation Area salmon is restricted to on all depth days. •Chinook Season (all salmon except coho) will reopen for the period of March 15 - May 5, 2022 unless modified by in-season action in March 2022.

Humbug Mountain to OR/CA Border

June 12-18. Open for all salmon except Chinook, all coho must have a healed adipose fin-clip. Two salmon per day.

June 19 –Aug. 15. Open for all salmon, all coho must have a healed adipose fin-clip. Coho retention closes when the Cape Falcon to OR/CA border quota of 120,000 coho is attained. Two salmon per day.

Aug 16-28. Open for all salmon except Chinook, all coho must have a healed adipose fin clip. All salmon fishing closes in this area the earlier of August 28 or the Cape Falcon to OR/CA border quota of 120,000 fin-clipped coho. Two salmon per day.
