Implementation Status and Key Decisions

Overall implementation has made very good progress since the last mission. Cumulative disbursement of the Bank loan as of now stands at USD66 million, which corresponds to a 22% increase over last mission. Of the 20 contracts in the project, 15 have already been procured (of which seven are completed) and five contracts are pending. The outstanding issues of land availability and resettlement which had impacted the implementation progress have been largely solved. Close attention will need to be paid to the timely completion of the wastewater treatment plant.
