I dream of a church that’s all about JESUS Life changing Community impact Disciple making Multiplying
That’s the church I dream about!
Main Idea
Our dream is to be a church who
Wants the PERSON Jesus Applies the PRINCIPLES of Jesus Stands on the PROMISES of Jesus
Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
Matthew 16:13 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
Matthew 16:14 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Matthew 16:15 Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Matthew 16:16 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 16:17 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Matthew 16:18 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Matthew 16:19 I dream of a church who wants the PERSON Jesus Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Matthew 16:16 God doesn’t just want you to have an awareness of Him
He wants you to experience Him
We can be present but not in His presence
When we know the PERSON of Jesus
We have greater access to the POWER of Jesus I dream of a church operating in the PRINCIPLES of Jesus I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Matthew 16:19 When God hands us Keys to the kingdom
Keys give you access Keys prevent entry
You have to be faithful to get keys God’s will for this church
Reconciliation Transformation Multiplication If I am not walking in God’s will
I am standing in God’s way I dream of a church standing on the PROMISES of God And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Matthew 16:18 The higher the level the bigger the devil
Whenever God is operation Satan will bring opposition
Satanic OPPOSITION
Is God’s OPPORTUNITY
To make us OVERCOMERS
But we must stand on His promise! You know what I dream about?
A church who knows Jesus Who has power Who isn’t intimated by the enemy
