KIRKEBY-OVER STADIUM Thank you to the following sponsors for Providing food and beverages: Coach O begins his ninth season as a head coach and his fourth as the head football coach at Augustana University in 2016. In just his third season at the helm of the Viking program in 2015, Coach Olszewski led AU to a 9-3 record and its fourth NCAA playoff appearance in program history. The Vikings also recorded a 6-1 record in Divisional play in 2015 which earned the Vikings a share of the NSIC South Division Championship. For the second straight season the Viking Offense has set multiple school records. The 2015 Vikings set single season records for passing yards (3,603), points scored (494), and touchdowns (64). In doing so the 2015 offense ranked amongst the top 10 in the nation in multiple categories. The Vikings were well represented on the all-conference team with 15 players earning All-NSIC South Division including seven first team selections and the NSIC Offensive Player of the Year in Jr, QB Trey Heid. There were also four players that earned All-Central region honors and five players that earned Don Hansen All-American status for their performances in Jerry Olszewski 2015. In his three seasons at AU, Coach O has now tutored 30 All-NSIC recipients and 48 All-Academic performers in his Head Coach tenure with the Vikings. Prior to his appointment to Augustana, Coach O was the head coach at St. Olaf College and compiled a 32-18 record. Olszewski will be entering his 25th year of coaching at various levels and is a graduate of UW-Stevens Point where he was a standout defensive back. An active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for more than 25 years, Olszweski is an active member in the Faith Community and school districts of the Sioux Empire.
