The club is performing well at all levels. Especially last weekend where the under 19s, A Team and B team all scored 50 points or more and kept shut outs in their respective games. The A Team is sitting at 7-1, and both the B Team and U19 squads remain undefeated, meaning that all three are on track for post-season football. Right now the B team are at 6-0, and they currently have the #1 ranked Offence and Defence in the SFC 2 East. They head into the final two games of the regular season looking to remain undefeated and secure home field advantage for the playoffs. The U19s are sitting at 5-0, and they also have the #1 ranked Offence and Defence in their Division. If they can keep their form for the remaining games, they’ll be well on track for another successive National Championship. They’ll certainly be looking to put in another convincing performance today as they host the 4-1 Solent Seahawks in a top of the table clash. The A team bounced back from a narrow loss against the London Warriors with a strong performance away against the London Olympians in Week 11, finishing the game 0-47, following this victory up with a 58-0 win over the Bury Saints maintaining the #1 ranked Offence in the Prem South. Today they face the 3-4 London Olympians who are coming off a victory over the Bristol Aztecs, which moves them up to 3rd place in the division. Both sides have something to prove this afternoon, so we’re expecting a really great game. Enjoy the day TPBF! Meet The Visitors: Solent Seahawks “The Seahawks were formed in 2015. We broke away from our senior team, got a new name, got a whole new image and started on the road to creating the premier American Football Club for Under 18's anywhere on the South Coast of the UK! We're not there yet, but we are certainly on our way. Starting with a small core of dedicated players, coaches and staff we spent a lot of time providing a strong, stable structure from which to grow. Only a few years later, we boast substantial player numbers across three different age ranges, an incredible line up of coaches and a club setup that is well on track to making headlines across the BritBall landscape! We pride ourselves on giving the players that represent us a safe and enjoyable environment in which to learn the sport of American Football. We are a fully inclusive Club, anyone can join and be part of our FAMILY. Regardless of experience, size or shape, the club will welcome you in and allow you to take part in the sport we love!” Meet The Visitors: London Olympians The London Olympians are one of the oldest and most successful American football clubs in the UK. Formed as the Streatham Olympians, they played their first game in 1984 and won their first national title in 1992 – one of three consecutive championships. They also made the Eurobowl finals for three straight years, winning in 1993 and 1994. They went on to win seven consecutive national titles between 1997 and 2003 and a further two in 2005 and 2006. They also added an EFAF Cup to their trophy collection in 1999. The Olympians returned to the premier division this year after a season in the second tier, where they reached the division 1 finals. Under head coach Neil Edwards (2017-present), the goal is to build a team and an organisation that can once again be counted among the best in Europe. The Olympians enter this week 14 game with the London Blitz with a 3-4 record, fresh from beating the Bristol Aztecs 35-10 at home.
