MIXED CHAMPIONSHIP 032 CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION THIS IS A CHAMPIONSHIP AND BOARD EVENT 1. RULES Unless otherwise noted, the General Conditions of Competition and the Rules of shall be used throughout this event. The Event Committee has sole management and control of the event. 2. COMPETITION ENTRIES The Mt Coolum Mixed Foursomes Championship shall be played over 27 holes on a date determined by the Event Committee. The Event will have a , with play starting from Holes 1 - 9, Starting will be offered using a competition timesheet. Entries will be accepted on the day of play if spots are available. Play will be in groups of six (3 teams). The order of play of holes for each team will be to complete the full course of 18 holes first on the card, then complete the front nine for holes 19-27. ( eg: a group starting on the 2nd will play holes 2-18, then Hole 1. This will be the score for their first 18 holes. They will then play holes 2-9, then finish on hole 1. These will be the scores for their holes 19-27. ) The Competition Fee is payable prior to the start of the first round. 3. MIXED FOURSOMES FORMAT A team shall consist of one male player and one female player. The team is half the player’s combined handicaps. The scorecard must show each player’s Golf Link number and handicap, the stroke score for each hole, the signature of one player, and the signature of a marker. The Male player shall tee off on all the odd numbered holes. The is then played alternately until the ball is holed. The Female player shall tee off on the even numbered holes, and tee shots alternate throughout the round. The order of play shall continue for the full 27 holes., with the following exception: When the team finishes the 9th hole and moves to the 1st hole, the male player shall tee off on both the 9th and the 1st. NOTE: It is the players’ responsibility to be aware of the specific for Foursomes. 4. PRIZES Prizes shall also be awarded in the following categories: Foursomes Champions 1st – gross score. Runners-Up 2nd – gross score. Nett Winners 1st – nett score. Nett Runners-Up 2nd – nett score. NTP’s – 5th, 12th and 16th holes 2nd Shot – 2nd hole Other prizes as determined by the Event Committee and depending on the number of entrants may include Second Worst Nett Score and Best 9 Hole Nett Score. The same team shall NOT be awarded both Gross and Nett prizes. If necessary, the prize for Best Nett shall be awarded to the team with the next best nett score. There shall also be a “Ball Rundown” as determined by the Event Committee. 5. TIES Gross Event – In the event of a tie (or ties), there shall be a play-off immediately after the last card is returned and checked. The play-off shall be sudden death using 3 holes (1st, 8th and 9th). If necessary, it is the players’ responsibility to be present and ready to commence a play-off 15 minutes after the last group finishes their round. All other prizes will be decided by the Australian Countback System. 6. USE OF MOTORISED TRANSPORT Gross Event Players may use motorised transport.
