Consider donating: ◦ Outdated demo clubs ◦ Unclaimed “Lost and Found” clubs ◦ Create a policy that clubs will be donated to The First Tee after unclaimed for 30-60 days ◦ Ask members/golfers to donate old clubs when they purchase new ones at the ◦ Host a Club Donation and have members donate their unused equipment ◦ Consider hosting this alongside other promotions you may do for The First Tee, while it is fresh in people’s minds Donation Drive 1. Select a week/month where members can drop off their unused golf clubs at your course. 2. Promote donation drive with club signage and through e- newsletters. Pro shop staff should also be well versed and mention this to all guests. 3. Consider offering incentives for donors – perhaps a coupon for the pro shop, extended happy hour pricing or a raffle. 4. Simply request shipping labels from 2nd Swing and mail in clubs to be processed. The donation value will be reported back to you and to The First Tee. 5. Report back to members after donation is made, so they can feel the impact of their collective efforts! Donating Equipment Steps Follow these Steps: 1. Visit https://www.golfstixvalueguide.com/firsttee/teeitupform.html to submit your donation and request free FedEx labels from 2nd Swing. This takes less than 5 minutes! 2. Print off order form and enclose in box. 3. FedEx labels will be sent to you within 24 hours. 4. Ship to 2nd Swing You will receive a tax-deductible letter from 2nd Swing and The First Tee home office will be sent the check and notified of course involved. The only cost to the course is a box(es) to ship the clubs in and 2nd Swing can arrange this as well, if this is a hurdle. Resources The First Tee can provide signage for the pro shop, social media posts and information to insert into e-newsletters.
