“The RBC Canadian Open is one of the oldest and most- prestgious golf events in the world and we’re thrilled to start a new chapter in 2019,” said Mary DePaoli, executve vice-president and chief marketng ofcer, RBC. “As the only Canadian stop on the Tour, the June tournament date will help enrich the experience for fans, players and all Canadians.”

He’s a Master’s champion and inductee into both the Canadian Golf and Canada Sports Halls of Fame but for Mike Weir, his Natonal Open Championship was the one that got away. In 2004 he fnished in second place, narrowly missing the opportunity to become the frst Canadian since fellow Hall of Famer Pat Fletcher in 1954 to win the RBC Canadian Open.
