Temporary Closure of Hollands Lane, Waysdown Lane and Flint Cross to Sperry Cross

TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset have made an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along Hollands Lane, Waysdown Lane and Flint Cross to Sperry Cross from Hollands Lane; from the junction with Scotts Hill; Flint Cross to Sperry Cross; the western junction with Winters Cross to Flint Cross for a total distance of 3300 metres.

This order will enable Somerset Highways to carry out resurfacing works in this road.

The Order becomes effective on 26 November 2014 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to last for 6 days, excluding the weekend. While the closure is in operation an alternative route will be signed as detailed below.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE

From the eastern end of the closure proceed in south westerly and south easterly directions along Scotts Hill to the junction with Castle Pub to Winters Cross. Turn right and proceed in a westerly direction along Castle Pub to Winters Cross and Winters Cross to Flint Cross to the western end of the closure, and vice versa.

Access to Brown lane will be via Flint Cross to Sperry Cross and the B3190.

Access to Clatworthy to Glass Cross will be via Scotts Hill.
