Church of the Epiphany 827 Vienna Street San Francisco, CA 94112 New Eucharistic Holy Hours

What is Eucharistic Adoration?

“Understood simply, Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ….

During Eucharistic Adoration, we "watch and wait", we remain "silent" in His Presence and open ourselves to His Graces which flow from the Eucharist ... By worshiping the Eucharistic Jesus, we become what God wants us to be! Like a magnet, The Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us.

In its fullest essence ... Eucharistic Adoration is "God and Man reaching out for each other, at the same time!" (St. Foundation). New Holy Hours at Epiphany

In the gospels, Jesus tells his disciples: “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest," and he also exclaims, “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest." In Christianity, Sunday is considered the Sabbath day, which means rest, and so it seems to be a fitting time for us to come and rest with Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.

When and Where?

Beginning in AugustMotiv from 4pm to 5pm in the Churchation:

“The time you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the best time you will spend on earth.” – Teresa of Calcutta

"In a world where there is so much noise, so much bewilderment, there is a need for silent adoration of Jesus concealed in the Host.”- Emeritus Benedict XVI "In this Sacrament of Love, Jesus Christ waits for us. Let us not fail to be generous in giving our time to Jesus in adoration.” – St. John Paul II "Know also that you will probably gain more by praying fifteen minutes before the Blessed Sacrament than by all the other spiritual exercises of the day.” – St.
