Mission Statement: St. Charles Borromeo, St. , , (St. Mary), united in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through His saving death and resurrection, by calling, forming and sending disciples to go out and make new disciples. As a people, we are called to encounter Jesus, and grow as disciples through the sacramental life of the church. A Message from Father Jim . . .

I want to offer a sincere word of thanks to everyone who made last Thursday ’s celebration with the Archbishop such a memorable occasion. To Mrs. Emily Berg, teachers, staff and students of Burlington Catholic, to the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees, to all the school parents and parishioners, and to our maintenance crew, I offer my sincere words of gratitude. They all worked very hard to make this celebration a very meaning- ful, joyous event. The Archbishop was very impressed with our school children and the spirit of our community. We all can be very proud of the significant contribution our parishes have given through Catholic education not only to the Burlington/Lyons Communities, but to the Church at large. I am grateful that the Archbishop was able to join us in this celebration. He has a difficult these days. Please continue to pray that God will con- tinue to bless and strengthen him in his ministry as shepherd to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

God bless you always! Father Jim Volkert
