Bibliographie internationale sur l’interreligieux Volume 1, 26 juillet 2017, Université de Strasbourg 1 Par Sophie-Hélène TRIGEAUD INTER-RELIGIO propose une bibliographie internationale et analytique sur l’interreligieux et les domaines connexes que ce thème implique. Sous la forme d’une série de volumes à parution régulière, ce recensement tient compte des données recueillies sur les trois pôles français, allemand et suisse du projet. Le présent volume fait état du recensement établi à Strasbourg durant la première étape du projet. Ce document a pour but d’offrir un classement par thème, par religion et par champs connexes, des publications et fonds documentaires sur l’interreligieux. Leuven, Peeters, 2011. www.peeters-leuven.be/boekoverz.asp?nr=8869 , accès le 11/07/2017 Reconciliation in Interfaith Perspective: Jewish, Christian and Muslim Voices brings together scholars from Jewish, Christian and Islamic backgrounds to discuss the concept of reconciliation from within their respective traditions. These scholars focused on whether a common understanding on reconciliation is possible between the Abrahamic religions. In this volume the papers are arranged in two parts. The first contains generalized studies that approach the topic from a broad perspective. The second presents specialized studies that focus on specific issues like Islamic normalcy, the relationship between forgiveness and ethics or a comparison between Eastern and Western Christianity. The Jewish equivalent of reconciliation is discussed by Adele Reinhartz and Didier Pollefeyt. Reimund Bieringer, Roger Burggraeve, Yves De Maeseneer, David Pratt and Nico Schreurs focus on various aspects of the Christian understanding of reconciliation from many different perspectives. Finally Zeki Saritoprak and David Bolton as well as Marcia Hermansen and Julianne Funk Deckard deal with Muslim equivalents to reconciliation. The various studies brought together represent a great diversity of perspectives on reconciliation. While reconciliation is primarily a Christian concept coming from the Pauline tradition, it is important to see that similar ideas are present in both Judaism and Islam. The main objective is to identify and analyze the impact of the role of the church on the conflict; to evaluate the success of the Church in Peacebuilding from 2001- 2016; to examine the key challenges and opportunities facing the Churches in its intervention, and; to identify how the church could maximize its peacebuilding potential in the DRC. Thus, the following questions were set forth to guide the research: 1) what role has the church played in DRC conflict from 2001 to 2016? 2) What successes has the church achieved? 3) What obstacles has the Church faced in its peace efforts? 4) How can the church deal with these obstacles to maximize its potential of achieving a sustainable peace in the DRC? Therefore, the qualitative approach is found appropriate for these research questions, because it grants valuable understanding of the issues through a careful examination of historical data. So, the non-empirical study makes use of secondary sources of data collection.Also, John Paul Lederach’s “peacebuilding pyramid” is opted for as the conceptual framework.

    The Constitution and Governance in Cameroon This book provides a systematic analysis of the major structural and institutional governance mechanisms in Cameroon, critically analysing the constitutional and legislative texts on Cameroon’s semi-presidential system, the electoral system, the legislature, the judiciary, the Constitutional Council and the National Commission on Human Rights and Freedoms. The author offers an assessment of the practical application of the laws regulating constitutional institutions and how they impact on governance. To lay the groundwork for the analysis, the book examines the historical, constitutional and political context of governance in Cameroon, from independence and reunification in 1960–1961, through the adoption of the 1996 Constitution, to more recent events including the current Anglophone crisis. Offering novel insights on new institutions such as the Senate and the Constitutional Council and their contribution to the democratic advancement of Cameroon, the book also provides the first critical assessment of the legislative provisions carving out a special autonomy status for the two Anglophone regions of Cameroon and considers how far these provisions go to resolve the Anglophone Problem. Published by American Research Institute for Policy Development DOI: 10.15640/ijgws.v9n1p1 URL: https://doi.org/10.15640/ijgws.v9n1p1 Role of Social Media in the Former British Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) Genocide Geraldine Ambe (Mami Gera)1 Abstract For over four years, schools are been closed, torture, extrajudicial killings, arson of entire communities, unlawful detention, loathing of property have been going on in Ambazonia (Former British Southern Cameroon) though under-reported in public media. A minimum of 12,000 people have lost their lives and more than a million internally displaced persons in the Ambazonia as well as Francophone part of Cameroon. United Nations Refugee records over 300,000 Ambazonian refugees in their camps in Nigeria while the same numbers may be found in private homes in the same country. As the military commit arson and human right abuses of different natures, richer families have sent their family members to West Africa, South Africa, Asia, Europe and America the United States where they are seeking asylum. The immediate cause was a peaceful protest organized by teachers and lawyers that the government reacted with extra force. After negotiations failed, Cameroon Anglophone Civil Society Consortium (CACSC) composed of teacher, lawyers and transporters trade union was formed to address the pertinent issues tabled before the government. The government banned CACSC and sent their leaders to dungeons. Cameroonians in the diaspora and the few leaders who escaped detention formed the Southern Cameroon Consortium United Front (SCACUF) was a nonviolent movement seeking a greater autonomy.
