$29 Core2Duo or Desktop For Qualified Students Who Do Not Own a Computer S T U D E N T E N T E R P R IS E S The WTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports students and schools with free and low cost technology and training. School work is increasingly performed on yet many students and families cannot afford to buy one. Below is the WTA’s application for a $29 Core2Duo laptop or desktop computer. If approved, the computer must be primarily used by the below-named student home or in school with school work. Computers may secondarily be used by family members, but it must not be sold within one year of being provided. Only one computer will be provided per student. Schools may also purchase these computers to loan to their students who not own a computer.

The laptop provided through is program is used and has been refurbished. This includes cleaning the computer, verifying full functionality to its original specifications, and reloading . The hardware is free but the WTA charges a cost recovery fee to cover its costs for transportation, refurbishing, loading software, software licensing and 30 day warranty coverage. The warranty covers the failure of computer hardware through normal use. It does not cover user error or damage caused by viruses, physical & water damage, misuse or toner. It does not cover the loss of data and the WTA recommends that users back up their data. The lifespan of the laptop battery is not guaranteed, however we guarantee it will work and will charge when it is provided. Warranty is limited to refund, repair or replacement at the WTA’s discretion.

How to use this form: Teachers or school administrators provide this form to eligible students. Students complete the first section followed by their parent or guardian. It is then provided to the teacher or school administrator for certification. The teacher or school administrator emails completed forms to the WTA at [email protected]. The WTA approves virtually all applications and the computer will be delivered to the school when inventory is available and the school will provide it to the student. All computers must be paid in cash, cashiers check or official written school P.O. upon delivery to the school.

All Computers Include Microsoft including Libre Office (MS Office look-alike), VLC Player ( player), Chrome (browser), MS Security Essentials (Anti-Virus), Paint.Net (image processing), Audacity (audio processing), warranty, more  $29 – Laptop Computer with Core2Duo processor, 2GB+ RAM, 80GB+ Hard Drive, DVD drive, Power Adapter Example models provided include D620, Dell D630, Dell D820, HP 6910P, IBM T60P, IBM T61 and others.  $29 – Desktop Computer with Core2Duo processor, 2GB+ RAM, 160GB+ Hard Drive, DVD drive, USB Keyboard, 17-19” LCD Flat-Panel Monitor, Mouse and all power & data cables. Example models provided include Dell 755 and others.  $10 – Add a new laptop bag with handle and shoulder strap  $9 – Add a refurbished laser with toner and USB cable (Note: Since it is used, the amount of toner in cartridge will vary)
