THE DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY OF MUSKOKA
BY-LAW NO. 87-55
A by-law to Confirm the Proceedings of the Council of The District Municipality of Muskoka at this meeting held on the 1st day of June, 1987.
WHEREAS by Section 5 of The District Municipality of Muskoka Act, R.S.O. 1980, Chapter 121, the powers of The District corporation are to be exercised by its Council;
AND WHEREAS by said Section 5, the powers of the District Council are to be exercised by by-law;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that proceedings of the Council of The District Municipality of Muskoka as herein set forth be confirmed and adopted by by-law.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY OF MUSKOKA ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The actions of the Council of The District Municipality of Muskoka at this meeting held on the 1st day of June, 1987 in respect of each recormnendation contained in the Reports of Standing and Special Cormnitttees as adopted or amended and adopted and each motion and resolution passed and other action taken by the Council of The District Municipality of Muskoka at this meeting is hereby adopted and confirmed as if all such proceedings were expressly embodied in this by-law. The foregoing includes but is not limited to the reports enumerated in Schedule "A" to this by-law.
2. The Chairman and proper officials of The District Municipality of Muskoka are hereby authorized and directed to do all things necessary to give effect to the actions of the Council of The District Municipality of Muskoka referred to in the preceding section hereof.
3. The Chairman and Clerk are authorized and directed to execute all documents necessary in that behalf and to affix thereto the Seal of The District Municipality of Muskoka.
4. Section 1 does not apply to any action or matter that is required by law to be done by resolution.

5. Section 1 does not apply to any action or matter to which Ontario Municipal Board approval is required until such approval is obtained but Section 2 applies for the purpose of obtaining such approval.
