23rd ANNUAL ART : INTENT TO DONATE If you are a longtime DVAC Member —or a new friend— this is the time of year we request donations for our one big fundraiser of the year, the Annual Art Auction!

WHEN & WHERE Annual Art Auction Friday, April 28th, 2017 6:30-9:30 p.m. Sinclair Community College Ponitz Center ELIGIBILITY All area are invited to donate artwork for this exciting event—one of the largest and most respected of contemporary art in the region. Artists do not have to be members to have artwork featured in the auction. We are committed to presenting a range of media and styles for a variety of prices from both emerging and established artists. We know it is a difficult decision to donate your work to a fundraiser and we greatly appreciate that you would choose DVAC. Like you, area collectors and community hold DVAC to a high standard. Therefore, we seek work of the highest quality, originality, structural integrity, frame/display quality and condition, and appropriate market value. For these reasons, DVAC reserves the right to jury the donations according to these merits.

Artworks must be clean, dry and ready to hang (hardware must be included). We do not accept student work nor mechanically reproduced works. We highly encourage clean, neutral matting and unadorned, neutral framing. We are grateful to Custom Frame Services, Deck the Walls and Patterson Chase Co.,who offer advice and framing discounts to artists who are donating artworks.

1. Artwork will be selected to be placed in the silent auction or the live auction (limited to 10-15 pieces). 2. Artists may choose to donate 100% or 75% of the final auction sale. 3. Market Value will be agreed upon by the artist and DVAC staff to determine fair market value.

BENEFITS Your artwork, along with your artist statement, will be presented to 500 Auction-goers at the Ponitz Center. Marketing for both includes 1000+ invites, 1,000 Auction program brochures, 250 sponsor and press kits, a section on our Web site, print, radio, tv and digital marketing and advertising. You will also receive a donation acknowledgement for tax purposes.

In addition, all artists who donate 100% of the final auction sale of their work receive 2 admissions to the auction. Members Artists who donate donate 75% receive 1 admission.

Our audience agrees that one of the best ways to understand the range of work available in the Dayton region is to attend the DVAC Auction—it is a lively and casual event where collectors connect with the artists who create the things they treasure. Our track record speaks for itself: over 20 years of auctions, thousands or works by Dayton artists sold and treasured by our community.
