Day 1: Friday, September 11 Day 6: Wednesday, September 16 Depart USA Salzburg | Innsbruck | Depart on independent overnight flights to Vienna, Austria. Check out and depart for the Tyrolian Region, stopping en route at the Cistercian Abbey in Stams to celebrate Mass, and tour the abbey. Day 2: Saturday, September 12 Continue to the city of Innsbruck (host of the 1976 Olympics) check in, and enjoy dinner. Arrive in Vienna | Arrive in Vienna, and meet your European tour manager before Day 7: Thursday, September 17 transferring by private motor coach to your hotel for check in, followed Innsbruck | Free Time | by an opening Mass and special welcome dinner. Overnight in Vienna. After breakfast, visit the Cathedral of St. James and celebrate Mass, then tour the beautiful city of Innsbruck, including the gothic Hofkirche, Ambras House, and more. This afternoon, take an optional trip to visit the world-renowned Swarovski Museum in Wattens, or enjoy leisure time to shop, explore, and relax. Dinner on own and overnight Innsbruck. Day 8: Friday, September 18 Oberammergau Passion Play | Check out and depart for Oberammergau, time to explore and lunch in the village upon arrival before attending the world-famous Passion Play, which will go on until late evening. Overnight in Oberammergau. Day 9: Saturday, September 19 Day 3: Sunday, September 13 Neuschwanstein | Munich | Vienna Tour | Schonbrunn Palace | This morning depart for Munich, stopping at the famous Bavarian This morning enjoy a tour of Vienna, including the main square, Weiskirche to celebrate Mass, followed by a lunch in the nearby village St. Stephen’s Cathedral (celebrate Mass), Karlskirche, and visit to before a tour of the beautiful Neuschwanstein Castle. Continue on to Schonbrunn Palace. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure before Munich, check in to your hotel. Dinner on own and overnight in Munich. a special festive Heuriger dinner in the wine growing village of Grinzing, with wine-tasting and local Schrammein music entertainment. Overnight in Vienna. Day 4: Monday, September 14 Melk Abbey | Maria Taferl Shrine | Salzburg | Check out and depart for Salzburg, stopping at Melk Abbey, a Baroque- style Benedictine abbey on the Danube River surrounded by a beautiful town with Renaissance homes and winding streets reminiscent of the Middle Ages. Continue through the gorgeous Austrian countryside to visit the Shrine of Maria Taferl, a 17th century shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. Celebrate Mass at the shrine. Check into the Salzburg hotel and enjoy dinner. Overnight in Salzburg. Day 5: Tuesday, September 15 Day 10: Sunday, September 20 Munich | Dachau | Maria Plain Shrine | Sound of Music Tour | Salzburg | This morning visit the Maria Plain Shrine, overlooking Salzburg. Celebrate After breakfast visit the infamous concentration camp of Dachau. Return Mass and see the miraculous image above the altar, where St. John Paul to Munich and celebrate Mass at Assamkirche, dedicated to the martyr II prayed.
