He is Associate Dean for International Medicine and Distance Learning, Adjunct Prof. of Clinical Urology and Adjunct Prof. of Clinical Reproductive Medicine at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University/New York Presbyterian Hospital. In 2016, he was appointed Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics in the Associated Faculty of the Perelman School of Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is also Associate Prof. of Urology at the Medical University of Innsbruck and Visiting Professor at the Medical University of Vienna. Amongst others he is a member of the American, German and Austrian Societies of Urology and was awarded the Zuckerkandlpreis of the Austrian Society of Urology in 1989. In 1995 he received the Silver Medal, in 2007 the Golden Medal for Merits to the Republic of Austria and in 2014 the cross of honor of the Land Salzburg. As Director of the Medical Program of the American Austrian Foundation he has initiated the Open Medical Institute, a scientific and educational collaboration of Weill Cornell and the NewYork Presbyterian Hospital, the Children Hospital of Philadelphia, Duke University, Columbia University, the Cleveland Clinic and leading hospitals in Austria. Dr. Aulitzky earned his medical degree at the University of Innsbruck in 1977, was a research associate at the University of Uppsala, Sweden and the Rockefeller University, New York. He received his training as an urologist at the University of Innsbruck and the General Hospital of Salzburg. He is the author of more than 140 publications on Urology, Andrology and Health Care issues and is co-author of books on basic and clinical urology/andrology. Windsor, MD (Course Director) is an Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. He is Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Weill Medical School of Cornell University. He is also a member of the Knee Society, ISAKOS, The American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the AAOS, the American Orthopaedic Association and the European Knee Society. His research interests revolve around Reconstructive surgery of the knee, with an emphasis on total knee replacement surgery, osteotomy and arthroscopy. In 2005, he was president of the American Knee Society and has over 150 publications and over 300 presentations throughout the world concerning knee replacement surgery. His avocations include classical music with classical piano performance as well as rowing. Russell E. Reinhard Windhager graduated in 1981 at the University of Innsbruck. After training at the General Hospital in Linz and at the University Clinic for Orthopaedic Surgery in Vienna he became a medical specialist in orthopaedics in 1988. Between 1988 and 1997, Prof. Windhager worked at the University Clinic of Orthopaedics in Vienna, the Children’s Clinic in Glanzing and the St. Anna Children’s Hospital in various orthopaedic focal points. In 1995 Reinhard Windhager qualified as professor in orthopaedics and orthopaedic surgery and in 1997 was appointed full professor of orthopaedics and Head of the Department of Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Surgery at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz and built this up to the University Clinic of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical University of Graz in 2001 and was appointed its Head. In 2010 he was appointed Head of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Medical University of Vienna. In 2002 and 2003 Reinhard Windhager was President of the Austrian Society for Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Surgery (ÖGO) and 2006 President of the Central European Orthopaedic Congress. Besides board memberships in numerous national and international societies Reinhard Windhager served as President of ISOLS (International Society of Limb Salvage) from 2014 – 2015 and 2017 as President of the Austrian Society of Surgery and Associated Speciality Societies. Since January 2018 he has been appointed chairman of the nearly formed Department of Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery at the Medical University of Vienna. Reinhard Windhager, MD, Univ. Dr. McCarthy grew up in the northeastern United States in the state of New York and completed her undergraduate studies at Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey. She then graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. She completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Her fellowship training was also completed at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York where she was a team physician for the New York Giants football team and the New York Liberty basketball team. Dr. McCarthy’s research interests include anterior cruciate ligament injuries and surgical techniques, ACL graft techniques, and the meniscus.
