Course Offered Spring Semester(Program is also open to students not seeking academic credit) MSC 399 Special Topics: Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven - In the Footsteps of the Masters (3 credits) Course fulfills: Visual and Performing Arts Requirement (Part III.B.), Western Experience Theme, elective in Music major or minor, a free elective for all other majors. PEL 299/ENG 398 Vienna and the Modern World Course fulfills: Pell Elective, elective in English, free elective for all other majors. All course fulfillments are subject to approval by an advisor. Program Highlights  Visit Mozart’s birth city of Salzburg and see where he wrote and performed his first symphonies.  Visit major historical and cultural sites on the Ringstrasse  Learn about Mozart’s time in Vienna, his adopted city, at the Figaro House.  Tour the magnificent gardens at Schönbrunn Palace.  Visit sites in Vienna where Beethoven lived and performed, and places that inspired his compositions.

Accommodations/Meals Lodging: Students will share a double or triple occupancy room at tourist class hotels. Meals: The program fee includes breakfast at the hotel and 2 group meals while in Austria. Students will be on their own for lunch and dinner on most days.
