CTCS-2 SOLUTION In CTCS-2 system, Circuit (TC) is responsible for detecting the track occupancy, code and transmit the number of idle intervals ahead of the running direction to the onboard system. The or transponder is responsible for providing temporary speed limit information, approaching situation, line speed, slope, length, etc. When there is a need for temporary speed limit, the command will be sent by the dispatch center to the Temporary Speed Restictive Server (TSRS) and subsequently, forwarded to Train Control Center (TCC) for execution. TCC is responsible to control the temporary speed limit information from balise to the onboard system.

Based on the information received from TC and Balise, combined with preset train parameters, the onboard system can automatically calculate the speed for train movement and generate the distance curve to real-time train control.

CTCS-2 ONBOARD SYSTEM CTCS-3 SOLUTION In CTCS-3 system, its solution is equivalent- to an intergration of ETCS-2 with CTCS-2. Based on the information received from TC, the RBC interlocks the route and generates the Movement Authority (MA).

Following that the MA, route parameters and Temporary Speed Limit are sent to the CTCS-3 onboard system via GSM-R communication system. The onboard system will perform the train control for safe operation based on the received MA, line parameters, temporary speed limit, vehicle parameters, calculating and reporting train location and other data in real-time data.
